A: Not sure what you mean by a background photo, but we are only able to put in 4X6 photos in the six sleeves on each side of a page or 12 total per page. Holds 300 total pages.

A: Wow, I thought this was answered, but looking at the responses, almost every one gives different measurements! I'm a scientist, so, here's the data, with a pack of JMV refills in my hand (JMV-207 refills).The package itself just says what it holds (up to 11x14, panoramic, etc.) Well, with tape measure in hand, I'd offer this under oath: 16 6/16 inches long (16 3/8 ) by 12 exaclty high (top to bottom of page). That is the actual size of the pages/refills, which the album cover just a hair bigger. (technical term)The thing is, that's not all usable space, as there is an area where the binding holes are, and a bit of plastic-only to allow page turning. That's almost exactly 1 1/4 of binder space, leaving display space for photos effectively at 12x15, allowing for all the advertised sizes, solo or mixed (as it's 'magnetic', arrangeable).Last bit of data: Of the 12 by 15 (horizontal) 'workspace' of each page, there's also about 3/8 where you peel the page open (not ribbed or sticky /magnetic), adjacent to the binder holes, and practically, while you can 'fill it to the brim' if you want, it's best to leave that for pulling up, and a tighter fight over the photo. Pick and choose the dimensions you need. About 14 1/2 by 12 is the net, easy-use space, and the maximum to include a tiny edge around the photo and easy ability to peel a page apart if need be.Enjoy.

A: Depends on the size of the newspaper article. Each page has six separate 4x6 pockets that you slide your picture into.

Q: 8. how many pages total can this album hold including refills? i have 1500 photos - how many of these albums would i need?

A: 20 sheets can comfortably be used. On occasions I've squeezed in a few more, but the binding piece does not extend too far into the front and back covers, so you can only expand so much. Without knowing the sizes of the photos, it's impossible to tell how many you would need. You can fit six 4x6 photos on one page if they are all vertical or all horizontal.

A: The Magnetic Photo Album Holds self adhesive pages that hold 31/2 x 51/4 , 4 x 6 , 4 x 7 , 5 x 7 , 8 x 10 and Most Panoramic Photos. My pictures from Israel are: 4 x 6 with captions written on notebook paper under each picture. The pages will hold up to 3 pictures this size depending on how you arrange them. It will also hold a picture printed off the computer if you trim it down to fit the page. The pages are full size.
