A: We always highly suggest giving a battery a overnight charge for the first run.

Q: 2. How does this compare to the Panasonic battery?

A: I have found the Watson batteries to be good substitutes for the original Panny's. A couple of caveats would be, a) don't let them sit around too long between charges, &b) toward the end of charge they can just konk out w/little warning, while the Panny battery seems to carry the charge longer. These claims from my experiences are especially applicable to shooting videos. Thus I won't knock them especially when looking at their cost compared to Panny batteries.

Q: 3. Is this compatible with preston focus iris hand unit?

A: This battery is not compatible with the Preston Hand Unit 4.

Q: 4. Will this work in the new GH4?

A: Yes. This battery will work with the GH4 and GH3.

A: I had the same issue. I called Watson and got my batteries replaced. I'd suggest giving them a call. I haven't had issues since. May have been a bad batch of batteries.

Q: 7. Trying to charge on a Sony AC-VQ1050D charger. The battery icon blinks but no other information on the charger is displayed. Left it on overnight to see if it would show a full charge but the icon just keeps blinking. Are these batts incompatible with Sony chargers?

A: Derek, I am happy with mine, but the signals are in fact different from the original models. It will charge, taking more time to complete. you will need to understad it behavior. Be pacient and wait until 12 hour to complete the charging operation. The charger will only inform you that it is complete, not the intermediate process.About the blinking led, I ignored and considered only the FULL sign and the usable time remaining information.Berst regards

[7.4 VDC] This one adds extra juice to my camcorder. This costs half the price of Sony battery pack and delivers awesome performance. It comes at such a cool price$ -- yup really !! it does not weigh much too - buy it from B&H 5

[0.235 lb] Liked it enough to buy another one... My only complaints are that my Sony HDR-CX100 handycam will say that is has more time left than it really does... Like it will say 250 min. remaining but if I timed it it would definitely be less than that... not by a whole lot - just enough to notice. And finally it does take a while to charge if you don't have a separate charger. But for $ it is definitely worth it (hence I got another one in case I am away from an outlet for extended periods of time). 5
