The Watson EN-EL9A 7.4V 1000mAh Lithium-Ion Battery Packworks with the same cameras as the Nikon EN-EL9A or EN-EL9. This replacement battery pack features a capacity of 1000mAh, 7.4V of output power and 7.4 watt-hours. [7.4 VDC] These batteries work well in my Nikon D40. If I would just remember to turn the power off, even when connected to a PC, and stop running them down so far that they can't take a charge, I would not have to keep buying so many of them. That is not the fault of the batteries, though. 5

[0.175 lb] Purchased to replace a spare original Nikon battery that started to tell me it was not compatible with my Nikon DSLR. The Watson charged and was recognized by my Nikon. Even if it fails, I could get almost 3 of these for one original Nikon battery! 5

[Lithium-Ion] Charged it with the standard Nikon charger and installed it in my D5000 with no problems. Have used it for several days of shooting with no problems so far! Much cheaper than the Nikon unit. 5
