A: The power adapter for the EXH-8 would be a separate purchase.

Q: 5. Can I use this cable to connect my Sony UWP RX to the TA3 connection of the Mixpre-10 II?

Q: 6. Why does this module have a power input? Can it be used by itself as a separate recorder?

A: The DC5V USB-C power input on the Zoom EXH-6e Dual XLR-1/4" TRS Input Capsule for H6essential Portable Recorder would be used for powering condenser microphones with an XLR connector, because these types of mics require 48V phantom power.

[Yellow] You wouldn't use anything else other than Canare Starquad and Neutrik connectors for your cables, but why spend a lot of time making them yourself when you can buy them for so cheap? I have bought several of these premade cables, and I have opened the connectors and inspected each, and they all look great. The only thing I would do differently is shrink the ground and boot the solder joints with shrink, but that's because I'm fussy. I do not have any doubts that these cables will hold up for years.

[Neutrik] recording studio connections. canare is fantastic quality. a bit pricey, but you do get what you pay for. I use these mostly for pathing at this length, and need low noise, RF resistant, and low distortion at higher BD levels running from tube preamps. works like a charm. Just wish canare could make them a little less expensive. Price is only drawback from buying a lot more.
