Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. After mixing 1:19, how long to leave the film exposed to the stop solution before fixing?

A: 30 seconds with continue agitation. I am chemist. You are neutralizing using a week acid, if your time goes some seconds over it does not have huge impact.

Q: 2. How to dispose contents of half used ILFOSTOP bottle which has stayed in shelf for several years. To sewer?

A: Most of the major photographic chemical manufacturers concur here quoting Kodaks J300 Information Document: Most photographic chemicals can be sentto the sewer or publicly owned treatment works (POTW). They include: Developers, Stop baths, Fixers (after silver recovery) and Wash waters. They advise not disposing of Toners, Solvents and other materials that are prohibited, i.e., flammable materials.Ilford states: Amateur and home users should dispose of small amounts of used photographic processing solutions by dilution with plenty of water and washing them down the drain.Sprint adds: Septic systems are designed for biological treatment of standard household waste, and do not properly treat chemical wastes associated with photographic processing. For more details please see:a href= http://bit.ly/1wywtjg target= _blank http://bit.ly/1wywtjg/aa href= http://bit.ly/1vQUYXv target= _blank http://bit.ly/1vQUYXv/aa href= http://bit.ly/1vlSADh target= _blank http://bit.ly/1vlSADh/aa href= http://bit.ly/1vrL4f3 target= _blank http://bit.ly/1vrL4f3/a

Q: 3. Can I use this stop bath on paper as well as film?

A: Yes

Q: 4. Is this fully compatible with the Bright Tangerine Misfit Kick clamp-on matte box?

A: Yes, the Revar Cine Rota Pola Rota-Tray 4 x 5.65" with Circular Polarizer would be compatible with Bright Tangerine, ARRI, Vocas, Chrosziel, O’Connor O-Box, and many other matte boxes on the market today. It is not compatible with RedRock Micro matte boxes.

Q: 5. Hi just wondering if when using this filter on a 4.5mm wide angle B4 ENG lens, weather you get any vignetting when fully wide as wanting to put in in the front tray of my Croszniel matte box not the rotating back one. Based on filter being 4 x 5.65 sizing as mentioned above?

A: The diameter of the filter is 4.5. If this is a larger diameter than the front element of the lens you own, you should be good.

Q: 6. This says 4 x 5.6 as opposed to 4 x 5.65 Can you tell me the difference? Will these filters fit in my RedRock Micro okay?

A: The filters are 4x5.65 as we do not manufacture 4x5.6. This is just a mislabel by B&H.

Q: 7. Will this work with the wooden camera UMB-1 clamp on mattebox?

A: Yes, this should work well with BH #WO201900.

Q: 8. It seems like this may have been answered, but would it fit a mirrorless (Z7) with the 70-200 with lens hood?

A: It will fit but you will have to turn the foot to the side and the lens hood must be reversed. It's tight even after doing those steps. We recommend the Lowepro ProTactic TLZ 75 AW Convertible Camera Bag https://bhpho.to/3H3iEjN . You'll just have to reverse the lens hood to put it in the bag.

Q: 9. Will this fit a Nikon Z7 II with the Nikon NIKKOR Z 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6 VR S Lens attached and the lens hood reversed?

A: Yes, the F-stop Navin Welded Camera Pouch will fit the Nikon Z7 II Mirrorless Camera with the Nikon NIKKOR Z 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6 VR S Lens attached. The lens hood must be set to reverse, and the lens foot needs to be angle towards the camera hand grip. The camera and lens have a total lenght is 11''; the pouch interior lenght is 12.5''.

Q: 10. Will this bag hold a Sony A7R4 camera with a Sigma 100-400 mm zoom lens attached? Would the lens hood need to be detached?

A: Yes, the f-stop Navin Welded Camera Pouch holds the Sony A7R IV with the Sigma 100 - 400 mm lens + hood attached.

[Glass] Any time I decide on diffusion filters, the biggest considerations for me are the strength of halation and the amount of contrast I'm looking for. I usually default to Hollywood Black Magic as my standard diffusion filter. When I want something stronger and a big more vintage feeling I'll reach for Black Pro Mist. When I want something much more subtle, I'll go for Glimmerglass because the halation is under much better control than the other two. I usually aim for a 1 strength when I want to see the effect. Even then, it doesn't feel too strong.

[Glass] These are great little filters to add to your kit.

[Glass] Great diffusion filter that adds soft contrast to take off the digital edge while retaining sharpness. Would highly recommend over other diffusion filters.

[Glass] Filming outside and only have 2 filter trays? THIS is the filter for you. It combines 3 filters in one, and is excellent when using a RED, ARRI Alexa or other DSLR in an outdoor environment where you need to blue your sky (pola), stop down (because of the bright sun), and take care of infra red pollution (to crush your black tones in-camera). So the beauty of it is that you only use one of your filter trays, and have 1 tray left for whatever other FX you want to use... Classic Soft, or maybe you need more Neutral Density to stop down even more.

[Glass] I was worried that a 1 strength would be really glow-y the way a promist would, but you only really see an obvious glow in very strong back-lit or high contrast conditions. Otherwise it's a very a very gentle touch on highlights and overall contrast.

Also the idea that a sparkly filter inspires confidence in a model is the silliest selling point I've ever heard, and my models laughed at the idea of it ... which got me some genuine smiles, so I guess there's that.

[Glass] I was looking for a filter that would bloom the highlights and practical light sources without decreasing the overall contrast of the image, and I think this was just the filter I wanted. Compared to Black Pro Mist and especially Cinebloom, the shadow levels and sharpness are maintained with this filter. The diffusion is just enough for me. To me, it seems it blooms the highlights and light sources just enough to look like my image was shot on film, but without being too dramatic or noticeable. I think if I were going for a more dreamy look, I'd go with a higher Glimmerglass strength or use something like Cinebloom.

[Glass] Great filter to give some softness to the highlights without intense halation

[Glass] Tiffen Filters are always the best when it comes to build quality, reliability and options they provide. I am super happy with my 2 Set of Glimmerglass!!:) They make the image naturally gloomy without washing out the entire scene.

Also B&H did a perfect job on shipping and customer contact! I live in Germany and my package arrived only 4 days after my order was placed. Thanks, you guts are the best!

[Glass] So I have used the GlimmerGlass series a lot as a large matte-box filter on the cinema cameras. But sometimes I go and shoot inserts on a lighter setup with my FX6 and a Zoom lens. For that purpose this filter is absolutely perfect. If the 1/2, 3/4 and 1/4 become available as 82mm filters I will purchase them.
