[44 Ohms] Having relied on others' XLR cables on numerous occasions until I got one with bad connections and no soldering kit available, I decided to get my own cable for audio recording on film shoots. There are lots of cables out there, even cheaper ones that are good enough to get the job done, but I chose this cable because of the different colors available. Every location I've been, it's always black XLR cables, but to see a different colored one, blue, in this case, it's easy to spot my cable and for it to not get mixed up with someone else's kit. I inspected the soldering on both ends and it looks solid. The piece that clamps onto the cable housing when tightening the cap on the connector really clamps tightly causing a depression mark on the cable housing as opposed to some knockoff brands I've seen that allows it to have some play when tight eventually causing separation of the soldered wires. I figure they call it Star-Quad because both ends have dual wires soldered to each tab and one thicker gauge wire soldered to the ground tab. The clamping piece also separates from the 3-pin housing allowing for re-soldering if necessary, but I doubt I'll have to do that anytime soon. Glad I got this.

[44 Ohms] These mic cables are very sturdy and with the different colors that canare makes which matches exactly all the colors that electrical tape come in they make running a live audio system a lot less stressful.

[21 AWG] Usually I build my own cable from spare parts and my cable reel, but I use Canare Star Quad specifically in student educational situations. Often departmental cables go missing - stolen by students and staff, so cable building is a constant issue. With this cable they rarely go walk about, and when they do I often find out about it immediately when I see the culprit with my cable.

[Yes] I use this cable for booming when the cable is plugged into the camera. The cable is flexible and easy to coil. The connectors are solid and can be color-coded with the Neutrik XXR color coding rings.

[4] Don't listen to @ jerks who try to sell you their overpriced cables. These are more than adequate for just about every application, including professional work. I am a professional location sound mixer for film/video productions, and these are the XLRs that I recommend to everyone. Crystal clear sound, well shielded, easy to wrap, durable... What more do you need?

[4] I often reach for an XLR on a daily basis. This is a great cable and I will purchase more in the future.

[44 Ohms] I haven't used it a ton yet, but I'm super impressed with the quality and feel of it. In case anyone is wondering, it doesn't fit through the B&H# ROBP boom pole. which is why i bought it. But i liked this cable so much i kept it anyway!

[1.05 lb] These cables are absolutely fantastic. Sturdy yet flexible rubber coating for easy coiling. Reliable connections and double-grounded for up to 10dB of noise reduction BEFORE it even gets to the preamp. Not to mention the obvious... they're color coated for easy labeling and tracing your audio lines quickly at a show. Nuf said.
