The 3", black FSR 3" Flat Panel Display Wall Box - Blackfrom FSR 3" Flat Panel Display Wall Box - Blackis an installation accessory for housing wall-mounted plasma/flat-panel displays. It installs easily, allowing your screen to be flush with the wall. It is specifically designed to install in 2" x 3" stud walls and is suitable for use at schools, airports, conference centers, arenas, museums, and general meeting facilities.

This Flat Panel Display Wall Box provides a neat and secure environment for audio, video, control, and power wiring connections; for a clean finish, the connectors are hidden behind a cover. The unit comes ready to install, and has three single gang knockouts and one IPS knockout to mount up to six single IPS plates (sold separately). A removable pass-through enclosure provides an additional single gang knockout and can be used to isolate cables that the installer may need to pass through the backbox. One steel duplex cover plate and one steel Decora cover plate are included for convenience, and to ensure proper fit in the shallow back box.

[5.9 lb / 2.7 kg] We use these boxes to house our Extron control panels in on our classroom lecturns. They are very easy to mount, made of durable steel with a very tough finish and best of all look great. We decided on the FRS desktop box over others of their type, because of their avalibily and construction. Best of all, they are reasonably priced over other brands. 5

[16-gauge steel] Initially I thought this mounting box was overpriced but in looking around at other options, I found that the quality of this one is so high that it merits the cost. I've used it with a 2-gang XLR plate and was able to rout the cables neatly. Overall, an excellent product. 5

[17 x 9.9 x 6"] This is my second Sanus wall mount and my second installation DYI. Both were the ML11. I also downloaded the free Sanus wall mount application for iPad, which helped a great deal. I believe the same information is available online. Your greatest challenge will be to locate your wall studs accurately, and to measure the location that the back plate will be hung with good accuracy. After that, installing the bolts to hold the back plate is easy enough, but you may want an allen wrench that fits the bolt to give it that last turn or two in case your power screwdriver doesn't put it all the way in (which can be a little difficult because there's a fair pit of power needed to finish the screw). All in all, no real issues getting this up and running and it works quite well once installed. A nice product. Recommended. 5
