The 3-12x40 AO IR Riflescope from Firefield is a water-resistant zoom optic for close to mid-range targeting. This scope features a Mil-Dot reticle that can be illuminated in red or green using a dedicated reticle brightness side turret. The illumination control has five selectable brightness settings for each color; green illumination is more visible than red in low-light conditions and red is useful for targeting subjects among a woodland landscape. In addition to multicoated lenses and illuminated reticle, the 3-12x40 AO IR riflescope comes with mounting rings and is backed by Firefield's lifetime warranty.

Q: 3. What are the dimensions? (ie. outer diameter, as well as depth from back to front)

A: Dot Line states that the outer diameter of the Dot Line Tele-Wide 77mm Lens Hoods at the widest point is 4-1/8 inches, and the depth of the hood when extended is 2-5/16 inches tall.

A: This cable has an emitter on one end and TRS connector on the other. This cable is designed for use with Shinybow devices

Q: 5. Is this unit coming with layer foams ? I heard that trying to fit a Yamaha DTX 12 (with no clamps) was a tight press down for the covers and probably you need to remove a layer for an accurate fit and lid closure ?

A: Hi Jayaraj, The foam is glued into the case. This was specifically designed around the Yamaha DTX 12 and should fit with no issues. You do want some compression when closing the lid so the equipment does not shift around. We do offer the same sized case with cubed foam if you would rather create your own interior. Q: 6. (1) does the front of the hood have filter threads so I can attach filters without removing the hood?(2) if so, does the filter thread also have a 62mm size?

A: This hood does not have front threads and attaching a filter to the end of a lens hood is generally not recommended as you run the risk of any blemishes on either side of the filter coming or approaching being in focus.

Q: 7. I have the Magic Rig already. I would just like to know where I can find a new QR plate for it? I would like to swap cameras faster when I need to.

A: Unfortunately we do not currently sell this quick release plate separately, however, any Arca style quick release plate should be compatible with this quick release system, such as the Photo Clam PC-59-UP3 Universal Camera Plate.

A: Yes, I bought this case for my Roland SPD-SX about a month ago and love it. Fits perfectly.

Q: 9. Will this fit D750 with 24-120 Lens attached within padded insert?

A: Yes the Nikon D750 with an attached AF-S 24-120mm lens will fit into this case.

A: Each air lines have their own size specifications so it is a good idea to contact the specific airlines for that.This is around the size the bag can be at the largest, The maximum dimensions cannot exceed any of the following measurements: 22 long x 14 wide x 9 tall or 115cm (56 x 36 x 23 cm). The case you are referring to is, 19.00 x 14.38 x 8.00 (48.26 x 36.53 x 20.32 cm). So it is just a bit too wide.

[2.45 lb] For the money this scope can not be beat.. Very clear very bright and in low light conditions the Illuminated reticle is the Greatest. I would recommend this. 5

[40 mm] This 4 power Hawke is a real “sleeper!” I just put a 22 Magnum Barrel on my CZ455, since I don’t have anything in that caliber I didn’t want to put much money in a scope as this was going to be a “beater” that I carried in the Swamp while on a boat. A 4x with AO is unusual in that you usually get that on a variable power. I didn’t want too many functions, just a simple scope, but I would probably be shooting squirrels, rabbits, alligators, snakes,turtles: at ranges of 10 feet to a maximum of 100 yards. And an Adjustable Onjective on a fixed power would be perfect. I found it a balanced look, attached to the 3/8 dovetail on the CZ455. Not too big. I was amazed at the clarity and light gathering of this $70 scope. And the AO was the icing on the cake. Easy to rotate and so I left it set at about 27 yards(most of my shots) It was perfect! I was getting 3/4 inch groups with the CCI Gamepoint 40 grain. Leaning against a tree for a rest. WOW! So I just ordered another one for my newly arrived Ruger RAR 22 Magnum in the black synthetic stock —a real “plain Jane” better suited for “in the boat” duty. (My CZ was bumped up to be my squirrel gun! One of my Best Buys!! Try one and you’ll see! Mitch 5

[1"] I am still new to the MOA style scopes and the use of this was a little daunting. A beginner-friendly instruction manual would have helped out a lot though. However, I am very pleased with the quality and price compared to similar scopes that cost up to thousands of dollars. I will definitely recommend this product to all my friends who shoot and keep checking back for other merchandise that might interest me. 5
