Styled in black, the StarTech 1 RU 7" Depth Universal Fixed Rackmount Shelffrom StarTech 1 RU 7" Depth Universal Fixed Rackmount Shelfis a fixed shelf, giving users the ability to hold server gear with a weight capacity up to 33 lb. It can be mounted in any front-mount 19" rack or cabinet. The construction is sturdy, cold-rolled steel. The fixed shelf includes four M6 cage nuts and four M6 screws for equipment mounting.

Q: 1. If you are recording 4 inputs of video, do you have the option to turn off any inputs that are not in use to save drive space?

A: The Datavideo ProRes UHD 4K Video Recorder (1 RU Rackmount Model) has 3 different input sets that can be set to record. One could select a set that has disconnected inputs to record less inputs, but the recorder will still record from inputs 1,2,3 and 4. The difference will be whether input 1 or 2 are HDMI or SDI.

Q: 2. There is an SD card slot. Will it record to SD cards? Are the removable hard drives how swappable?

A: No it can not record to SD cards. The SD card is reserved for "future development" (new features they may add in the future) and firmware updates. Yes the SSDs are hot swappable

Q: 3. Can you set file names per record and gang record multi recorders?

A: The Datavideo ProRes UHD 4K Video Recorder (1 RU Rackmount Model) doesn't offer file renaming or multi-drive gang recording.

Q: 4. How many RUs tall is this?

A: The DRM is a 2RU high frame that can accommodate up to 12 of the smaller AJA Mini-Converters (D4 – D5 series and others of the same size), up to 6 of the larger AJA Mini-Converters (D10 or HD10 series), or a mixture of both. The DRM has a built-in 110/220V power supply with 12 connectors to provide 5V power directly to the Mini-Converters without the need for individual power supplies for each Mini-Converter.

Q: 5. How well does it work outdoors?

A: The FeelWorld T51-H Triple 5" 2 RU HDMI Rackmount Monitor is not an outdoor display. Each display is 500nit, and this is very bright for an indoor environment. If you have provide shade, or work under a tent the FeelWorld T51-H rack display would work spectacularly.

Q: 6. Does this also work with a different 1/2 rack equipment, example blackmagic gear. Or is there other rack shelf that does work

Q: 7. What is the hold up on these? I ordered it nearly 6 months ago.

A: Currently, we are waiting on FeelWorld to start shipping the SEETEC 17.3" Pullout HDMI/SDI Rackmount Monitor. We have not yet received the monitor.

Q: 8. Does the HDR-90 have a browser based interface for remote control operation?

A: The Datavideo ProRes UHD 4K Video Recorder (1 RU Rackmount Model) can be controlled via a network.

Q: 9. Am I able to switch between SDI & HDMI feeds from the front buttons?

A: Input can be selected by using the F1 and F2 assignable buttons on the front panel of the FeelWorld SEETEC 17.3" Pullout HDMI/SDI Rackmount Monitor (1 RU).

Q: 10. Will this work with Auray's style rack drawers?

A: Yes the Gator Replacement Diced Foam Block for Rackworks Standard-Depth 2 RU Drawer is directly compatible with Auray 2RU rack drawers.

[33.2 lb / 15 kg] We had standard shelves in our rack and decided to add more but with slides. We are very happy. We use test devices on the rack that can slide off the back so we installed these upside down so they are like shallow drawers and it worked perfect. we love the versatility of the product to really make it your own. 5

[3.4 lb] I tried to make a cheaper shelf for my 3 Hyperdecks from a generic 1U shelf, but it was more time than it was worth and the result was not half as good. The universal shelf is just so ready to use. 5

[3.4 lb] This is a very well made shelf for items that can weigh up to 250lbs. It is adjustable for mounting depths of 26.5 inches to 32.5 inches. Yes, you can find cheaper shelves, but do you really want to have them falling apart after you place something that weighs this much on them? Better to buy quality and be safe! 5

[3.4 lb] I like these little guys - we install most of our equipment inside crednezas - so these are extremely well ventilated (especially if you use slotted type shelves, very easy to move around and fit well into standard conference room credenza. No complaints You do need to attach the shelving units mounting gear - but doesnt take too long and you get faster as you go. Im more a fan of these type racks over the heavy duty will survive WWIII standard racks from past - these are nimble and airy and fit better with modern AV equipment in my opinion 5
