The base side HIGHWIRE Powerstar Base Camera Unit Kitfrom HIGHWIRE Powerstar Base Camera Unit Kitworks with the HIGHWIRE Powerstar camera side (available separately) to deliver PoE to an IP camera over RG59 or RG11 cable. The base unit receives PoE power from a standard PoE switch or injector and transmits it down coaxial cable. All detection and setup occurs automatically. The unit is powered by an external 57 VDC power supply (available separately).

This unit features SafeView to provide a quick confirmation of correct operation from either end of the cable. The low-power design and efficient power delivery enables long range extension, even over low-grade cable, such as high-resistance copper-clad steel (CCS) types. Reliable power delivery is also ensured at the source, where either screw-terminal connections or a UPS-backed PoE supply can be used. It delivers a full 200 Mb/s of bandwidth at up to 1000' of RG59 or 1600' of RG11 coax.

A: Unfortunately, the Matador camera base layer 2.0 is too small to hold that A7RIII and FE 70-200mm f/2.8 GM OSS. It would hold the lens by itself, but even then only barely.

A: The Shimoda Designs Explore V2 30 Backpack will comfortably hold only one of the Shimoda Designs Small Core Unit for Mirrorless Camera. Two units will put too much strain on the zipper.

A: The Fuji XT3 and the 8-16 2.8 will fit in the Matador Camera Base Layer 2.0, but the Fuji 50-140 2.8 lens is too long and won't fit.

[85%] It may be overkill to use this for a keyboard stand since it can hold so much weight, but having a place you can put your knees when sitting at it is a big plus over the typical X or double X style of keyboard stand. Another big plus is it is so compact when folded up. 5

[Up to 200 Mbps] This worked right off the bat for us and some infrastructure where we could not pull new CAT cable but had pre-existing Coax. It's also a great bonus that they serve as PoE injectors if needed. Fantastic product. Don't forget that you need the other end, the camera side aka the receiver. 5

[1.5 W] When using this to power a Ubiquiti Wifi radio up on a tower, we only had to run the one RG6 coax, plug it in and done! Works absolutely great. I, especially, like the indicator on the other end to tell that everything is ok. 5
