The AMT Z1LW-Shure Custom Microphone comes complete with a microphone and a cable for direct use with the Wi5IIC, Shure, Sabine, or Sennheiser wireless systems (sold separately).

Designed and manufactured by hand, this microphone is intended to reproduce the rich deep sonic tones of an alto and bass flute while clamping to the instrument (clamp sold separately). It uses D.C.T. (Disconnect Cable Technology) and is suitable for professionals looking for a natural sound reproduction from a clip-on microphone.

The system allows the player to easily change to and from AMT's different preamps (sold separately) while also allowing for direct connections to the Wi5IIC, Sabine, Shure, or Sennheiser wireless systems (sold separately), creating a belt pack free operation. With a change of cable (sold separately, except for the Shure cable), you can convert your Z1LW-Shure from a wired preamp over to a wireless setup quickly and easily.

The microphone is suspended in a 4-point isolation ring reducing key and handling noise. It can be used for soft to loud music for a principal artist, ensemble setting, or for a soloist.

Q: 3. Does it fit 19mm mics?

A: FYI it works with 20mm mics (Schoeps CMC6) but rubber insert will prolapse easily - have had a couple of these rendered useless by stagehands forcing KM184s into them. i've never tried vaseline,(!) but i think that may be a joke comment...

Q: 4. Why is this A53 more expensive than the A55 which is a larger version?

A: The A53 costs more to produce than the A55, despite its physical size.

Q: 5. Does it fit Neumann KM184s?

A: It should fit snugly, I use these clips for KM-84's, the predecessor to the 184 and am very happy with them.

Q: 6. Is this a mono or stereo mic?

A: This is a monophonic microphone.

A: Yes, the Shure VP83 LensHopper Camera-Mount Shotgun Microphone is directly compatible with the Panasonic HC-V800 Full HD Camcorder.

Q: 9. Does this come with the micro SD?

A: The Shure VP83F does not ship with a MicroSD card.

Q: 10. does this work with a zoom h4n or should i get the adapter ?

A: This will work with your recorder without any additional adapters. The VideoMic uses a 3.5mm connector which the Zoom H4n will accept.

[Phantom Power] We use this mic inside our grand piano with the cover closed. Set up is so easy - we can leave it inside and just attach the XLR cable to the external box, mounted on the dolly. And the sound is excellent - much better than the mic on a boom with the cover partly open. Because the lid is closed, there is much less unwanted sound from the rest of the band. Overall, an excellent product. 5

[Phantom Power] I use this microphone for live performance of clarinet + live electronics. Finally I am able to be mobile and compact on the stage, not using two separate microphones (with so many holes sound source is practically everywhere in this kind of instrument). I hope this solution will also help to avoid feedback problems. Sound quality is great, but I am not expecting it to be 100% natural, since the lower microphone is pointing almost directly to the bell, getting very rich of low freqs sound. I think it will be best to combine it with wireless solution. 5

[Black] I have used this microphone as my go to piano mic for years. I bought this one as a spare. Less expensive than most of the competition and sounds just as good or better. 5
