[1x IEC Input] I needed a small, easy utility light. Arri gear, in general, is quality, and this light is no exception. It's perfect for a back kicker, an overhead pool to draw attention to a certain part of the frame, or to use as a source for a practical lamp. The 150s are the scalpels of the industry. They can't dim on their own, but with the Impact D1000 dimmer it's unbeatable. I brought this on an independent shoot and it saved many shots. Also, skin loves tungsten light.

[20 x 16 x 14"] This is the perfect hairlight. Of course it works for lots of other things as well, but I got it specifially as a hairlight because it works so well. Also, it's incredibly well made.

[Black] I use this for key, fill, hairlight, or backlight for DSLR/C100 interviews depending on the amount of light I want to throw and number of lights I'm using. Light enough to easily put on a c-stand arm with a baby pin so you can mount it about anywhere you can think of. Three of these, with some diffusion, scrims or bounce on the fill are perfect for a small interview kit when you can control the lighting and are using DSLR type sensors that don't need much light. If there's a lot of ambient light, you need to step up to the 300 or 650 watt Arris for key, and then probably start using some neutral density filters on the lenses. In that situation the Arri 150 still works great for fill or hair.

[47.75 lb] We bought this light to round out our set up of some soft boxes and higher wattage fresnel's. It worked fantastically and provided a great small source of light for providing additional accents into a scene. 150 watts is perfect for small room lighting and when paired with a silk in front can be a great compact main light.

[1x Snow Machine] I always wanted one of these... 20 yrs ago in film school I did a lot of stop motion work and always wanted a smaller light than little tweenies... Now, I wanted it as a hair light...basically power didn't matter too much, it was just that the lighter and smaller the light, the quicker it is to give dark haired people that little kick (especially if the background is dark)---this is for anything, I work on features, music videos, and docs...) Well, sensors are so much more powerful than the film stocks from back in the day, wow! This is so much more powerful now. In a pinch, I could use it as a key (with lots of diffusion) for an interview. It cools really well, and the flood/spot control is really smooth (as to be expected from Arri), and this is just one of the little, but hugely important differences between this light and cheapie redheads.

[20 x 16 x 14"] It's everything you would expect out a tungsten Fresnel, with the dependability and craftsmanship of the Arri name. This light is built to last, and despite its small size, 'shines' with professional craftmanship and consideration. Whether it is the focus knob in the back, the pop-open top for easy bulb replacement, the sturdy and strong yoke, or the spring mounted barndoor/scrim holder, this light's features put it above its competitors. Yes, it gets hot, but its tungsten, that's to be expected. Bottom line: If you need a kicker or accent that is light enough to be mounted just about anywhere, with the dependability of the Arri name, this light is for you.

[1x IEC Input] Exactly what I would expect from Arri; top-drawer quality and a solid build. Perfect for my back-light application and a nice compliment to my Diva-Lites. The barn doors are simple install and very useful. At this price and availability, all in all another great B & H purchase!

[Black] I use these Arri Fresnel light for short films, music videos and interviews. They are light weights and easy/smooth to focus.

[20 x 16 x 14"] Great addition for a lightweight travel interview lighting kit. I use this primarily as a hair light or to add interest to a background. You can't beat the light quality from a fresnel lens. You always need at LEAST one hard light in your interview kit. 150w isn't that bright but perfect for talking heads interviews. The ability to spot and flood the light as well as shape it with barn-doors is essential to having a hard light. If you can't afford the Dedolight 150 (which is brighter than this light but roughly the same size) this is the light for you.
