A: All you need to do is plug the mic into the headphone jack. The mic needs no other power.

A: The Zoom MCL-1 Clip for LMF-2 Lavalier Microphone is the only option to hold the LMF-2 by its head. An alternative, although holding the cable of the microphone instead, could be found in the WindTech TC-9 Soft Mount Rotating Tie Clips (BH #WITC9).

A: We use this Rode mic for all our videos. We even use a 6' extension made for Apple products, we use this mic on our iPads (Mini, Air & Pro) we even use it on our iPhones. Then we edit on iMovie, all videos shot on separate IOS devices get airdropped to our iPad Pro for edit. Audio quality is great.

Q: 8. If I bought a splitter and plugged two of these in would my iPhone record the audio from both?

A: Into one channel yes. The RDE SC6 is the adaptor we make that gives you two inputs and also a headphone out for using the smartlav.

[0.05 lb] I recently bought this and used the microphone both on a major gig and at home. It has a most accurate violin sound, which is incredible considering that it is situated so close to the instrument (you would expect a lot of high frequencies and a thin sound). You don't get any of the room sound, but in combination with my Neumann 184 miking the room, I finally managed to get an accurate violin sound that sounded both focused and full. I would recommend. The only drawback, as with any clip-on, is getting tangled with the cables. But the clip-on itself was very good and easy to use. 5
