Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. What is the warranty on this product?

A: The Vello HSA-PVU Hot Shoe Adapter with Safe Voltage Conversion includes a limited 1-year manufacture warranty.

Q: 2. Does it connect directly to TV or does it connect to a Receiver?

A: The Winegard Elite 7550 Amplified Outdoor/Attic HDTV Antenna (Generic Packaging) BH #WIWE7550A would connect directly to the TV.

Q: 3. Can I put this on a Fuji XT-2 and partner it with a Canon 600EX-RT?

A: You won't need a voltage converter for this flash. That is typically used for much older flashes and strobes from the film era.

Q: 4. I am going to use this hot shoe adapter to connect the Samsung NX10 and Godox AD100 Pro with a PC Sync cable. Will it work?

A: While it is possible to use the Vello HSA-PVU Hot Shoe Adapter with Safe Voltage Conversion to connect a Samsung NX10 and a Godox AD100 Pro using a sync cable, it has not been tested to our knowledge. Your results may vary.

Q: 5. I am unfamiliar with this kind of product. Could I use it to connect my new Fujifilm x2 camera to either my 5yr old Pentax flash (for digital camera) or my 20yr old Pentax flash for my old LX film?

A: You can use this product for both flashes.

Q: 6. Can I plug my Norman 400 into the PC connection of the Vello and install my Nikon SB-910 on the hot shoe connection of the Vello and have them both fire simultaneously on my D300 and D3s?

A: Sorry, melahat m, your question is out of my range. I recommend that you contact Vello directly via their website and ask them the question. They were happy to answer my questions about this same vello adapterand were very helpful. Good luck in your search. Barry.

Q: 7. Two products that I have recently purchased from BH, first, Wein SSH Safe-sync, second, Vello HSA_PVU Hot Shoe Adapter, have both failed to fire the flash which is a Norman studio power pack connected via PC sync cord. I am connecting to a Nikon D3300 via the hot shoe on the camera. The camera hot shoe works to fire a portable flash connected directly, so I don't think there is a problem with the camera's hot shoe or maybe this camera cannot handle external flash connections? Nikon says that it can. What to do? Would a radio powered transmitter/transceiver work? Is this a camera problem? Thanks.

A: Unfortunately, we do not have enough information to assist you via this forum. The best I can state is if the camera's hot shoe is working properly, I would recommend trying the adapters with a different flash to see if the adapters fire with a different flash. If so, the issue may be the sync terminal of your power pack or the PC sync cable you are using. At this point, you have only eliminated the hot shoe as properly working, but have not identified if the adapter, sync cable, or sync terminal on your pack is the issue. All other variables have to be eliminated to find the issue. The above test would verify if the adapters are working. Switching a PC cable with a known working flash would indicate if the PC sync cable you are using is working. If the adapters and PC cables are all working with other items, then the issue may be the sync terminal on your power pack, which would need to be sent to Norman or a repair center for inspection/repair. If it is your sync terminal, then purchasing a wireless radio remote system would not work as they still utilize the power pack's sync terminal to connect the radio receiver/transceiver to the power pack. I would recommend to use the items you currently have to confirm or eliminate the issue. As you state the hot shoe on the camera is working, it does not seem to be a camera issue.

Q: 8. can i use this unit with my metz 45 ct1 on my nikon d7200???

A: I've used it with an Olympus E-M1 and a Sony A7R using older Sunpak flash units without any problems. I don't see why it wouldn't work with the Nikon D7200 with a Metz flash. You may want to check your camera manual regarding older flash units with high trigger voltages.

Q: 9. I have an OLYMPUS T 10 Ring flash with an OLYMPUS T Power Control from my Film SLR days (OLYMPUS OM2 Camera). Would the Vello HSA-PVU Hot Shoe adapter with safe voltage conversion allow me to use this ring flash on my Nikon D800, D750 & D7000 DSLR Cameras without risk to the camera electronics? I realise that this would probably only work in Manual and not TTL metering modes

A: That flash is on the older side and it might be a bit safer to use a safe voltage hotshoe adapter that is rated for more like the Wein Safe-Sync.

Q: 10. This unit runs on a battery. My question is, if the battery fails in the middle of a shoot, is the voltage protection disabled or will it allow high voltage from an older flash power pack to go to the camera?

A: Don't know. It doesn't work at all on my Olympus or Nikon cameras. Total waste of money for me.

[1.5 to 20 kHz] These are the easiest speakers to install in a drop ceiling and they look great!!! They can be used on a 25v or 70v amplifier and the audio output adjustments are switchable. Great product for the money!!!

[> 80 dB] The pushbutton station works excellent and since we had a older model screen, I was a bit worried if it was compatible or not. It was and no issues.

[4 Ω] How we use this product: We purchased this product to use in a classroom (25'by 30' with 8 ft ceiling). We have a computer connected to this projector and wanted to pass sound through the projector to this speaker. Things that are great: Easy installation - Sounds Great - Sound dispersion of 120 degrees helps hearing it very well all over classroom - Looks very nice attached to ceiling - Sound can also be controlled by projector remote control and/or computer volume control - Volume control on speaker helps balance - Simple directions - Great price! One thing that we have learned is that we can connect several of these speakers together. I also asked the company about connecting a second speaker to this one - they indicated that it is possible to daisy chain up to 6 of these together. (Ask company support for more details.) To complete the install - you will need Bogen Communications PRS2403 24V DC, 300 mA Power Supply and either speaker wire (18 gauge is recommended) and a 3.5mm connector (solder or screw type) or one can purchase a cable with bare wire on one end and 3.5mm connector on the other end. This is used between the speaker and projector audio output. It is a great speaker and it is working great in our school classroom. I would highly recommend this product.
