[43 Hz to 30 kHz] These are the Goldilocks of home studio speakers, not too big, not too small. Fantastic sound across the dynamic range but with a neutral response that can be tuned to your room. The tonal clarity lets your ears hear nuances that you would otherwise miss in the mud. I will probably add the sub at some point in the future to extend the bottom end range but for now these sound perfect by themselves. Don’t let their small size fool you either, they can still move some air and at higher volumes they still are well within their limits and don’t sound like they’re being forced to work hard. The cabinets are well built, solid and look like they will last forever. I researched a lot of competitors and when these went on sale I didn’t hesitate.

[43 Hz to 30 kHz] I had been looking at these Yamaha monitors for over a month, and was also trying to decide what to do about a monitor controller. So needless to say I was THRILLED to find this kit! Saved a lot of money, and i could not be happier with the quality of every component! Speakers and sub sound absolutely fantastic, especially for the price. Monitor station�and cables are all top notch�as well!!

[2 kHz] Many big studios used NS10s back in the day - some with a thin piece of tissue over the tweeter - lol. I have worked in a lot of A studios and listened to many high end speakers. They are all a little different. The very most precise sound pretty sterile and cold to me = accurate vs musical. The bottom line is, you have to 'learn' how your speakers sound by taking the same tunes - or your mixes - and playing them over as many systems as you can - to then try to figure out how to go back and re-mix to sound best on all.

After I got the new kit hooked up, I started by playing those same songs I have listened to over countless speakers, headphones and PA systems. WOW! This kit sounds amazingly good right out of the box. I love it's phat quality, and I can really hear the mid and upper frequency detail in the arrangements whilst grooving to both the old and new songs. For the money, or even a lot more money, Yamaha has delivered a really good sounding package (yes, the sub is a _must_) for less than what some others want for just one box. The isolators are nice and hold the speakers where placed on my slippery desktop and under the desk. What is not to love?

[55 W] I bought these to supplement a mixing setup with larger 10 speakers, and they do a great job giving me a new perspective, especially monitoring EQ adjustments in the mid-range and high-end. I also bought a Mackie Big Knob to flip back and forth quickly, and love being able to keep the energy up while I check my mix quickly on the different speakers. Highly recommend to take your studio and mixes to the new level.

[2 kHz] The best speakers ever! But these do suffer from radioelectric interference from nearby electronics. Be sure to buy a grounder or make sure they are isolated from sources of high interference (or they will crackle). Sound is the best I've heard so far.

[23.2 lb] Easy to set up - just plug & play - and they sound AWESOME!

[55 W] My go-to cans for casual listening, podcasts, and editing. Lightweight, durable, excellent overall sound. Read the reviews. Surprised these don't more love. Sure, for about triple the price, I would go with the Beyerdynamic DT 700 Pro X model, but these Yamaha's are really fine for most people who aren't doing high-end monitoring / editing for a living.

[2 kHz] While I've known Yamaha for producing amazing audio products (guitars, mixers, etc) I have always used Sony or Beyer headphones.When my last headphones got destroyed I thought I'd give these a whirl. Comfortable, well built and a very rich sound.
