A: The Audio-Technica Consumer AT-LP140XP Direct Drive Professional DJ Turntable has two buttons on the left for selecting 33, 45, or 78 RPM (press both together for 78 RPM). The dots next to the numbers for the speed percentages are different sizes. "0" is the indicator for normal speed and it correlates with the largest dot in the strobe display, so if you want the speed to be normal, and not faster or slower, that is the strobe dot to look at when you are calibrating the speed. The "Quartz" button next to the tone arm turns the pitch function on and off. There are tempo range buttons on the right corner along with a pitch control slider switch to adjust the speed, and a selection indicator that lights up blue for standard or locked RPM settings. The stroboscopic lights around the platter work just like a strobe tuner for musical instruments to give you a visual indication of the platter speed.
