A: The package I bought cites 7 Mil. I put a very tired micrometer on a sheet and I'd say that is correct. Certainly closer to 7 than to 4 mil.I have to add that I was never able to get reasonable saturation or density in my prints (SureColor P800 with Epson pigment ink. I got a far better result printing on glossy paper (without watermark on the back) and backlighting that. I don't remember if I put the ink side in or out.

Q: 2. Can this product be used in an inkjet printer? Can it remain submerged in water for an indefinite period (at least 2 weeks) without being destroyed?

A: This material is for ink jet but is Optimized for UltraChrome, DURABrite, dye-based, and HDR Inks.It is not meant to get wet. It cannot be submerged in water.

A: Yes, it can be cut to whatever size, shape, or form you need for your applications.

Q: 4. Is this compatible with Canon ts9521?

A: Per the user manual, you can use 17 to 28 lb / 64 to 105 gsm paper. This paper is 300 gsm and therefore not compatible.

Q: 5. How do you use Inkpress Clear film for window graphics?

A: Please be certain the window is absolutely clean otherwise the image with not stick, or it will stick and then fall off. Unless you are using Solvent ink (usually a $15000 printer) the images may fade in weeks to a month or two, not year like the Solvent.

Q: 6. Is it compatible with the epson 3880 plotter?

A: Yes, this should work just fine with the Epson 3880.

A: This is as clear and transparent as I have found for inkjet printing. The inkjet receptive coating on the film is visible to the eye, but it is difficult to determine the print side by eye. If you lose track of the correct side after removing the film from the box you can determine printable side by touching a damp fingertip to film at the edge. The correct side for ink will be sticky.

Q: 8. Looking for high performance vinyl for sign printing on epson 9800 pro. Will this work?

A: It should work. I make industrial stickers out of this (and a heavy laminate). I have printed on this with both dye and pigment inks with great results (a Canon PIXMA Pro-100 & PIXMA Pro-1).

A: I use this backlight film and I print at 300 dpi. I have never felt the need to go higher as the quality is very good at 300 dpi.
