A: Should be fine but I would recommend a clamp and a small sand bag to the back

A: The replacement knob for the stand adapter of this boom is the Matthews 5/16 Knurled T-Knob B&H # MAT516K. Please see the image below for reference.

Q: 4. I recently shipped one of these discs to a wrong address and when it came back the label was peeling off and the disc was no longer readable. Is this something that normally happens?

A: I haven't tried affixing traditional disc labels to these as I use direct inkjet printing through a CD Printer which is what they are designed for. I'm not entirely surprised the label was peeling as the surface of the CD is design for that direct printing operation, not for label adhesion. Don't know what your budget is but the direct printing method works GREAT for these and I've seen discs that were printed 2+ years ago with still a great image. We are using the Primera Bravo 4101 CD/DVD printer but there are other models from the same manufacturer that I bet would work great too. Can't speak for the quality of other printer manufacturers but I know there are others out there.

Q: 5. I want to build a boom light stand. A: Definitely. I use 5 and/or 10 lb. Boa sandbags as counterweights.

A: It should work very well. I use this umbrella with a homemade bracket for three SB-910 strobes. I am pleased with the results and quality of the umbrella.

A: Thanks all. I contacted Matthews and learned that the head on the mini boom is identical to the standard matthews gobo head with one exception - the bolt is shorter on the mini boom head.
