Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will this work with the Nikon 950 as a dust cover? I live in an area that is quite windy.

A: The Ruggard Fabric Rain Shield Large (23") will help protect your gear from dust, but this is much too large for the P950; the Small Rain Shield would be the right size for the P950.

Q: 2. what is the difference between the Tamarac anvil 23 and 27?

A: The Tamrac Anvil 23 is 17.3 inches tall and the Anvil 27 is 19.7 inches tall for the interior. All other interior dimensions are the same but because of the added height, the Anvil 27 would be able to hold a longer lens and/or more equipment.

Q: 3. Is there enough space for a canon 400mm lens with hood and canon 5D Mark iii dslr body?

A: There should be. The caveat would be 'What additional gear is being carried?' The dividers are Velcro and can be adjusted; however, if significant other gear is being carried, there may be some difficulty and with the camera and lens (total cost) how much risk is one willing to assume.

Q: 4. How does this Ruggard Rain shield large, compare with the Think Tank Emergency Rain cover large?

A: In comparing the large sizes in each model, the Think Tank Emergency Rain Cover is longer at 27.5" but only has a diameter of 7.8". The Ruggard Fabric Rain Shield Large is only 23" long but accepts a slightly wider diameter of 8".

Q: 5. Would any of these Ruggard Rain Shields work with a Sony PXW-X70 camcorder? I've looked at the listed accessories on the X70 page but aren't crazy about any of them (too expensive). Thanks.

A: Though it isn't necessarily made for the Sony PXW-X70, it will cover it and it will work to protect it when shooting in the rain.

Q: 6. Can I use a flash unit while using the product on a canon eos 7d camera

A: No you can not use a flash with this

Q: 7. Can you access the zoom on your lens, or do you do that through the fabric? Same with the shutter release?

A: The zoom is not accessible without opening the velcro on the bottom, however, the fabric is loose enough to twist it from the outside. The back can be left open, so the shutter release is not an issue. The rain cover is large enough for most lenses to leave the back open and let the cover hang over the back without having to pull the back closed.

Q: 8. Would this work with a Canon c70?

A: Yes, it will Canon eos C70 Cinema Camera (RF lens mount). The camera is 6.3 x 5.1 and the bag Ruggard Fabric Rain Shield Large is 23'' wide and can accommodate lenses below 21''.

Q: 9. does this have any set screws?

A: The Acratech 1045 does not have set screws.

Q: 10. Anyone try this on Nikon body and 200-500mm f/5.6 lens while at 500mm with hood?

A: Yes this would work fully extended to the 500mm point.

[Cat 6] I am building a 4k/12G video system. But not all signals are 12G. This provides a lower cost alternative for the distribution of reference, and timecode. By using the cable in blue, those signals are easily differentiated in the rack, and for wiring from the 12G cables. Between the cable, and connectors, it saved the project roughly $500. Not a lot, but every bit helps. It uses the same tooling as the 4855R cable I'm using for 12G, so It's a great solution. In building a system, consider using mixed cable colors for different applications... it helps in following cables quickly.

[50 to 330 pF/ft] I'm using this cable to upgrade my CAT5E to all CAT6. I do notice an increase in my network speeds. The cable is thicker than CAT5E so it takes a little bit to get the ends on.

[Bare Copper] We are using this wire to set up a IP-based multi-camera system all powered by PoE. This wire is solid-core and has pretty heavy sheathing, so it's a bit stiff to pull through walls. (This isn't so bad--I'd rather have a little too stiff than too flimsy.) The colors on the individual wires are bright, which is great after having dealt with other brands where the orange and brown are almost indistinguishable. So far the wire has held up well and we've had no issues with signal loss or power loss over 75- to 100-foot runs. It's not the cheapest wire, but it is a good value, especially for long PoE runs. Definitely recommended.

[10GbE] Just finished my networking project using Cmple's Bulk Cat6 cable in black color (1000 feet) and it's been fantastic! The high-speed data transfer is excellent, making large file transfers and streaming smooth and trouble-free.

The cable is durable and flexible, easy to install with its pull-box packaging minimizing tangles. The black color seamlessly fits into my workspace, keeping it neat and professional.

In essence, this Cat6 cable offers great performance, aesthetic appeal, and ease of use, all at a superb value for money. If you're looking for a reliable networking solution, this product won't disappoint. Five-star rating well deserved!

[500 MHz] We wanted to get pink cable to distinguish our cables in a shared closet space. This was the only place I could find bulk cable in this color at a good price. Because the cable comes from a third party, the shipping took a little longer than expected, but B&H support was very helpful and prompt with relaying that information when it became available to them.

[31.2 lb] Wire installation is often a labor intensive process. If you are going to take the time, use quality materials. Not only is this high quality wire, but it is offered at a great price! Honeywell Genesis cable is my preferred choice for all low voltage wiring applications.

[Cat 6] As an integrator of 25 years, I've run miles of cable, and most of those were done with Genesis (formerly Honeywell Genesis). The outer jacket is a dream to score/open, I never knick the conductors like so many others that are too tight and/or rubbery. Inner divider is 2x the size of many others, the pairs are evenly/tightly twisted, preventing signal loss and cross-talk. I've run full fluke testing on 10Gb for 10ft or less, and up to 2.5Gb pushing 400ft. Lives up to the on label, and cheaper/easier than CAT6A. Don't mess with the cheap stuff - get the Genesis!

[10GbE] This is excellent quality cable that remains flexible in sub freezing conditions. No inner stiffener, so this is easy cable to route in tight bends. This is my favorite Catagory6 cable. Solid copper. 23awg.
