The black StarTech 4-Port USB 2.0 Hub Black Compactfrom StarTech 4-Port USB 2.0 Hub Black Compactmaximizes the number of high speed USB peripherals connected to your computer. Simply connect this hub to a USB 2.0 port on a Mac or PC computer to have four additional USB 2.0 ports. It supports cascaded installation with other USB 2.0 hubs, thus supporting up to 127 USB 2.0 device connections.

The hub includes a power adapter, but it can also be powered through USB bus connection to the host computer, allowing you to install the hub as needed without worrying about the availability of a power outlet. It also offers an attractive black casing that suits any operating environment and includes a 3' (0.91m) USB 2.0 A/B male-male cable for connecting the hub with the host computer. [10 oz (283.4 g)] When working with multiple PCs, a KVM moves from a nice-to-have to an essential piece of equipment. This KVM packs an incredible amount of ports and functionality into a very compact size. I used to have it out front where I could reach the (Switching) button, but once I got used to the hot-key switching, it’s now hidden in behind the machines, keeping my work area clean and uncluttered with cables. The resolution on the monitors is excellent and response time to switch back and forth is fast and smooth. Setup was easy once I planned where all my cables were going, and I recommend tightening all the screws for the DVI cables to the back of the KVM as you attach them. Trying to do so afterwards can be very tricky! I received this product in exchange for an unbiased review 5

[4] I ran out of ports with my old one so I went with this one. I was worried about the weight but it is much lighter than I thought it would be. It's awesome! Would definately recomend if you are like me with my computer and 3 portable hard drives. Now I don't have to go without my mouse :-) 5

As always StarTech makes sure you have the right connection for your power source. This product does not include all of the connection cables so you just can just purchase what ever lengths you need. 5

[110 ~ 240 VAC] I would recommend this to anyone with dual monitors and two pc’s. The only issue I had was that Windows 7 kept adjusting the displays when I switched between computers. It was a real annoyance to find all my windows, icons and screen resolutions messed up every time I switched. I finally after about a week of annoyances found a setting in my catalyst control center to disable display polling which fixed the problem for me. 5
