Vienna Symphonic Library Appassionata Strings I - Vienna Instrumentsfrom the Vienna Symphonic Library Appassionata Strings I - Vienna Instrumentsis a sample-based virtual instrument, that provides "passionate" string ensembles. The sounds are lush and cinematic in scope and perfectly integrate into a wide variety of musical styles.

From pop and rock to symphonic arrangements, emotional ballads to films, the four string sections offer various sustains and legato performances, with different intensities of vibrato. The virtual instrument also includes articulations such as sul-G-performances, accented interval notes, spiccatos, staccatos, various repetition performances, trills, runs and more.

The Vienna Instruments user interface is clearly arranged and includes pre-configured patches for immediate playability with no learning curve. The interface uses a powerful proprietary streaming audio engine that can load up to 3,456 articulations (patches) on one MIDI channel.

Load times are extremely low and sixty-four stereo voices per instance can stream from the hard disc. A RAM optimizing utility clears unused samples out of RAM. Users can easily create their own instruments, using "drag and drop" functionality, and the instrument provides the ability for velocity crossfades and release control to be switched on or off in real time.

Q: 1. Hello,i have a other brand battery packs for nikon SB900. I bought a cable cannot fit in battery packs. I want to know that Quantum cable can or cannot fit my packs. May i know how length is the cable head (only silver area/part)

A: The cable head on the CKE2 measures 9mm.

Q: 2. Does it work with turbo sc?

A: Yes. The pin configurations are correct.

Q: 3. does the Quantum Instruments TCRU Replacement 100-240V Charger for Turbo Compact, does it come with an Australian adapter? Thanks

A: The Quantum Instruments TCRU Replacement 100-240V Charger for Turbo Compact Batteries B&H # QUTCRU, is the universal kit that would come with the Australian/New Zealand country plug adapter. If you are looking for the single Turbo charger by itself designed for use in Australian/New Zealand, then the Quantum Instruments QT54 Turbo Battery Charger for Australia and New Zealand (100-240V), B&H # QUQT54, would work for your usage needs.

Q: 4. Do they sell replacement batteries for this?

A: Yes this matches the Quantum series of batteries

Q: 5. Is there a cable to make this pack work with the Nikon sb700?

A: Being that the Nikon SB-700 doesn't have a high voltage port, the Quantum Turbo 3 will not be compatible with it. A compatible battery and cable you can use is Quantum Instruments QB1 + (6V) Battery B&H # QUQB1P and the Quantum Instruments MKZ3 Dedicated Module, B&H # QUMKZ3. Please see the images below.

Q: 6. On my old Quantum flash I used a Norman 400B battery pack. Can that be used with the newer Quantum heads? Thanks

A: That flash does work with the Norman batteries. There is one Quantum flash that works with the 400B battery with the use of an adapter. The flash is the QFX model. The link for that is, http://bhpho.to/1efe2TGAnd the adapter is, http://bhpho.to/Kt2SS9This flash is not a shoe mount flash. So to use it on a Nikon camera in TTL you will need an adapter to make it TTL and a flash bracket. The TTL adapter for Nikon is at this link, http://bhpho.to/Kt4Nq7

Q: 7. Can I use this Quantum flash off camera with a Pocket Wizard?

A: no, you cannot!

Q: 8. what is replacement charger for Quantum Turbo battery?

A: Yes, the following unit will work to charge the quantum turbo.

Q: 9. Will this CKE2 work with GODOX TT685N II (for Nikon).

A: The Quantum Instruments CKE2 Power Cable for Turbo Series Battery Packs is not compatible with the Godox TT685N II.

Q: 10. I currently have 430EXll Cannon Speedlight, is the Turbo 3 Rechargeable Battery by Quantum campatable with this?

A: Unfortunately, the Canon 430EX II is not compatible with the Quantum Turbo line of batteries. It is compatible with the QB1+ battery (B&H # QUQB1P), though. You would just need the MB5 (B&H # QUMB5). Otherwise, to use the Turbo batteries, you would need to upgrade flashes to the 580EX II or 600EX-RT.

Lots of articulations that play well together. I also find the synchron player easier/faster to use than Vienna's older Vienna Instrument player or Kontakt based sample sets.

a great closely MICed string ensemble. great for small orchestra work. Definetly a learning curve to figure things out, but rewards when you do.

The Synchron interface is SO much easier to use (than the former Vienna Symphonic Instruments plugin). Sound quality and playability are impeccable.

Lots of articulations that play well together. I also find the synchron player easier/faster to use than Vienna's older Vienna Instrument player or Kontakt based sample sets. Note that Elite sits somewhere between Chamber and Pro/I orchestra in terms of number of strings. I find that the number of strings in the Pro/I orchestra is enough that you lose some of that sense of 'bow on string'. With Elite you still hear some of that 'bow on the string'. Layering Elite on Pro is also really useful.

It's not a big sample library but the bell tones are excellent! I could not find a comparable library for this type of bell sound from the other big name sample library companies, so this fills a niche missed by others.

LOTS of articulations that play well with each other. The Synchron Player is also much easier to use than either Kontakt based sample libraries or Vienna's earlier Vienna Instruments based libraries.

Best piano library I've experienced. Vibrant sound, customization and dynamics are all there. If you are into CFX or trying to add it to your arsenal, do not hesitate.
