[10 kΩ] This is solid. I'm using it to mount a flat-base fluid head to a Peak Design Travel Tripod. Nice damping on ball level adjustment.

[20 x 12 x 6"] I bought the LE-60 to use with my Sirui W-2204 carbon fiber tripod. It adds a bit of weight, but I’m finding it a worthwhile addition regardless. I mount a gimbal head on it and shoot with a 500mm lens and a 1.4X teleconverter. I can quickly put the tripod on uneven ground and center the bubble in the leveling head to give me a level horizon at any angle of rotation when tracking a bird in flight. I used to keep the rotation ring on my lens slightly loose and adjust on the fly. That just made accurate tracking more difficult. The unit is nicely machined, and finished. It has enough dampened movement that the heavy camera/lens & gimbal don’t flop around when adjusting the level. The only small negative I’ve found is that it requires quite a lot of tightness on the locking lever to secure the position of the camera. Not a problem really, but something to be aware of. So much faster and easier then adjusting the leg lengths of the tripod like I used to!

[12 VDC, 500 mA] I put this on my new Sirui T2205X tripod between the tripod and the fluid head. I am impressed with the build quality, the set screws to to affix the head against the ball assembly and keep it stable. I now own 2 Sirui products, the above tripod and the P324 S monopod. I am very impressed with the quality, instructions, parts and design of these products; I feel confident in these products, that they will perform well, are durable, reliable and won't be a source of failure with delicate cameras and lenses!

[20 x 12 x 6"] Sirui makes some of the best support equipment of any manufacturer. This leveling base is no exception. Solid construction and easy operation. Pairs very well with my Sirui video head and tripods.

[12 VDC, 500 mA] I selected the LE-60 over other options for two reasons, primarily because I do not believe the unit will suffer from contamination ingress at the joint, if you see other designs that could be an issue. I also like the Sirui brand that produces high end finished products. This leveler is no exception with precise engineering. I find the clamping secure albeit if you hang on a gimbal head you can override it, but that is far exceeding load limits. It's a good product if a little expensive.

[20 x 12 x 6"] I have a Sirui tripod (S-2205-N) and ball head (k-20x) that I use with my D800E. I find that adding a Wimberley Sidekick turns this into the perfect combination for landscape photography. The ball head and the sidekick give two axes of rotation making it easy to set up a shot. All that is missing is the ability to easily level the system to my horizons level. Adding this leveling base solves this perfectly. Inserting the LE-60 between the tripod and the ball head, I now rarely need to adjust the length of the legs on the tripod to level the camera. I extend the legs to the height I need, level the base and the horizon is perfectly horizontal. I rotate the ball head to point in the right direction and use the tilt on the Sidekick and the picture is frames as I like. There is only one knob on the LE-60. Once you loosen it, the motion of the base is well damped, making the adjustment easy even with the weight of the camera and lens above it. the locking is secure and easy, even with cold fingers. I do have to be sure to rotate the camera to make it easy to see the bubble level, but once centered, you've got it. Very easy to use and easy to see when it is level. I double check with the horizon in the D800e and it is always spot on. I am now confident that when I level the bubble, I've nailed it. A recent outing with this combo made it very clear that this is the way to set up for landscape and architecture shots. All simple, direct, and clear. I really recommend this product.

[1.5 lb (0.6 kg)] Read many reviews of this and other levelers and I am happy I chose the Sirui. The bubble level is right on and I really appreciate the damping feature when setting level. It cost more than others but very worth it to me.

[12 VDC, 500 mA] Helpful tip: be sure to tighten securely to your tripod. When using a fluid video head on top, this base may get loose when panning to the left (unscrewing the leveling base).

[1.5 lb (0.6 kg)] I purchased this device to help me capture a series of images to create a panoramic scene with all images being anle to be aligned on the same plane. I believe this will do the job. I haven't used it in the field yet, but in testing it out, the camera locked into a level position without any shift as i secured the camera (tightened the camera) in place, and panned across a scene outside my house.
