[0.1 lb] It only makes good sense to add this to the Realtree rain coat cover. Your already out there and if the wind changes, this cover makes it so easy, quick and convenient to protect the lens from water spotting. The rain cap comes with a strap and clip to keep it handy and close. The material of this and the rain coat are almost silent. I think the cost for this and the raincoat are a small price to pay for the protection and the ability to stay and get the shot. If your serious why let a little rain or snow stop you?

[0.1 lb] The lens cap cover fits over the lens hood easily. It keeps rain or dust off of the lens hood and lens when you're waiting for that shot. I got it with the larger Lenscoat rain cover for the Nikon 300 mm f/2.8. I think the digital camo is the best color for the dry brown southwestern US.

[0.1 lb] A nice item I got  for half price when buying my rain cover through B&H. It is quite large but it works with both my Nikon 200-400 and 200-500. A bit big but cinch it tight and it works fine. I cannot see letting this dangle when shooting in the rain. It would get soaked and you certainly dont want it back on your big glass if it is wet. I see this being used and then stashed in a  pocket or camera case until needed again to keep your lens dry.

[0.1 lb] Simple protection for your lens. It doesn't replace the lens cover that came with the lens but is good for out in the field when you are waiting for the shot and it's snowing or raining.
