A: You would need to add a 9 volt battery to the MK Controls Lightning Bug Plus to power it. It will then slide onto the hot shoe of the Nikon Z9. You then need to plug the cable into the shutter release socket of the Z9. To use it on standard mode you need to hold the on/off button for 2 seconds. For fireworks mode you press and hold the on/off button and increase the sensitivity simultaneously for 2 seconds. [Additional] Alway something I look for at certain price points. Accidents, by definition, are unanticipated occurrences that can happen regardless of the good care I give to my equipment. I think this makes sense; I recommend this if you intend to take you product out and use it. Otherwise, if you product going to stay in storage... perhaps it would be imprudent to have. This particular coverage is for something that is handled during use... The 2-year CarePAK Plus coverage make good sense. 5

[Additional] I had purchased the Canon GX10 camcorder but it arrived with a broken piece (something was loose inside that would rattle). B and H did send me a RMA return package slip and the device was returned to B and H with the understanding that a replacement device be sent to me. What instead happened was the device was "repaired" and sent back to me ( it had the same serial number ). So it wasn't a replacement at all but rather a "refurbished." Rather than risk additional problems, I went ahead an bought this CarePAK for a little piece of mind. 5
