The 500' long White Genesis Series 18 AWG RG6/U QUAD-Shielded Broadband Coaxial Cable from Honeywell comes packaged in a reel in-a-box. It is a broadband and digital coaxial cable, tested for high standards to assure high performance in high-end home theater installations, incorporating HDTV and digital video. The cable has a foil shielding that protects signal transmission from EMI and RFI interference and blocks lower frequency interference.

A: D-tap batteries put out an nominal 14.4VDC that in reality can be anywhere from 13 to 17VDC. This is not good for the BMD Video Assists since they want a regulated 12VDC. The cable you are asking about is unregulated and would put out the what ever the actual voltage is in the battery. We therefore suggest this regulated cable IndiPRO Tools 12V D-Tap to Blackmagic Mini Converter Power Converter (24 ) B&H # INPT12MAG.

Q: 4. What is the resolution of the HDMI output? My goal is to feed 4 1080p SDI inputs into one 4K HDMI output.

A: The DECIMATOR MD-QUAD 3G/HD/SD-SDI Quad Split Multi-Viewer with SD/HD/3G-SDI & HDMI Outputs Version 3 can only output a max resolution of 1080p via the HDMI output. The Blackmagic Design MultiView 4, BH #BLMV4, would allow for 4 1080p SDI inputs to output via HDMI in 4K.

Q: 5. Could I use this product for a video wall of three monitors? I would like to be able to display a 1x3 video on these monitors at 1080P resolution for each monitor.

A: Dear Kelly, This is Jules from product support at Symbiosis, Decimator's master distributor for your region. The MD-Quad has four 3G-SDI inputs, one 3G-SDI output and one HDMI output. Both outputs carry the same picture at the same format. You wouldn't be able to drive three monitors with different tiles of your source to produce a video wall. The MD-Quad effectively works the other way round to take up to four inputs and put them onto one monitor. [PVC] We wanted to get pink cable to distinguish our cables in a shared closet space. This was the only place I could find bulk cable in this color at a good price. Because the cable comes from a third party, the shipping took a little longer than expected, but B&H support was very helpful and prompt with relaying that information when it became available to them. 5

[75 Ω] This is excellent quality cable that remains flexible in sub freezing conditions. No inner stiffener, so this is easy cable to route in tight bends. This is my favorite Catagory6 cable. Solid copper. 23awg. 5

[19.65 lb] We are using this wire to set up a IP-based multi-camera system all powered by PoE. This wire is solid-core and has pretty heavy sheathing, so it's a bit stiff to pull through walls. (This isn't so bad--I'd rather have a little too stiff than too flimsy.) The colors on the individual wires are bright, which is great after having dealt with other brands where the orange and brown are almost indistinguishable. So far the wire has held up well and we've had no issues with signal loss or power loss over 75- to 100-foot runs. It's not the cheapest wire, but it is a good value, especially for long PoE runs. Definitely recommended. 5
