Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Can this microphone connect withOUT an adapter to my D610 or my D500?

A: This mic can connect directly to any camera with a 3.5mm external mic input, such as the Nikon D610 or the Nikon D500.

Q: 2. I have a Nikon D3100. Will this microphone work for my camera?

A: My D3100 does not have an input jack. I believe that option came later, so you can not use this for that model.

Q: 3. Can magnetic lights like the Aputure MC stick to it?

A: The main flat part of the Impact ME-108P Monitor Mount Adapter is constructed with aluminum. Only the pin and the lower portion is steel which would work with magnetic gear.

Q: 4. Is there a version of this that supports more weight?

A: This model can hold 17.6 lbs: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1594006-REG/kupo_kg037511_super_knuckle_vesa_monitor.html

Q: 5. How does this mic get power from the camera? Must it be attached to the camera's hot shoe to work? Or, does the power come to it thru its cable connector? Will it work if attached to B&H# VECB4800?

A: It gets its power from the Mic jack. It can be used off camera like the Shoe V-Bracket ,Vello CB-4800 Triple Shoe V-Bracket (6.5 Wide)B&H # VECB4800 Mfr # CB-4800http://bhpho.to/1jnwCuW

Q: 6. is the mount required in order to use this microphone for the nikon D5300?

A: It is a standard Nikon standard shoe mount. No special mount needed. You just slide it into your hot shoe on your Nikon camera and connect the 3.5mm mini-plug to your Nikon camera or Canon(I haven't tried it) etc, but if you have a flash, etc you must either remove it or get a bracket so that you can mount both your flash and mic at the sometime. It works great on my Nikon D5200. But remember if you use Nikon TTL-flash, your flash will need to communicate to the camera through the shoe mount. The mic does not communicate any other info to the camera than the miniplug. The mic will also work on other brands of cameras, camcorders, computers etc, equipped with a 3.5mm mini plug/jack which is most. The 3.5 miniplug/jack is pretty common in electronics today. It generates enough signal strength so it need no batteries. Ron

Q: 7. What is the exact measurement between the screw holes? The description says 3", but my monitors have holes just under 3".

A: This plate has standard 75mm and 100mm mounting patterns.

Q: 8. I was wondering if this microphone is compatible with the Nikon D500 camera? And how's the performance of this microphone? I did read the reviews on this microphone but I thought that I would like to get some new reviews on this microphone. Thank You!

A: I have the Nikon D5300 and it is compatible. I mainly use it for taping Vlogs and it works very well. Much better audio quality than camera alone. It will pick-up some extraneous noise, but it is limited. I found it worth the investment.

Q: 9. Does this kit come with the 4 beds mount screws too?

A: Yes, comes with the screws.

Q: 10. Hi. It this comp with nikon 7500?

A: Yes that's the camera I use this microphone with.

[13 lb] I got this to attach to a wood board so I can then attach it to my tripod and use it as an easel. The adapter allows me to adjust the board to all angles, which is handy.

[13 lb] Very easy to use. Intuitive for musicians to mute or solo channels as needed. All channels pull labeling from GLD 80 board. It takes very little to configure and set up a mix. Purchased addition unit to use as a dedicated mixer for the video production team. Works like a charm.

[13 lb] This mount is, as others have mentioned, surprisingly sturdy and works well to its rated limits. It is designed for the pin socket to be close to vertical... the small pin lock knob isn't going to prevent rotation of a monitor if you mount this at some steep angle. But used properly I'd say this is a great value for the money.

I don't have any real issues adjusting a screen precisely with this. The clamping force can be controlled precisely enough to allow for as much movement as I need (eg. a little for fine adjustments, looser for larger ones). Sure, it's not a surgical instrument, but again it works surprisingly well for the money.

And yea... funny top negative review. Wonder what they thought the ratcheting part of the name actually meant. Just to confirm, the handle works fine w/out any saws!

[13 lb] This system is still the best out there. I can send 40 channels of audio to our musicians using Dante Audio.

[13 lb] I have used a few different types of Personal mixers but this system stands out as the best so far. Normally I dislike anything A&H, but this is different. Awesome job

[13 lb] What a beautifully made VESA adapter. I'm using it to hold a 24 flat screen on a light stand and it's very secure. To further that security, I add a small weight at the base. The Impact ME-108P adapter allows excellent adjustability without any looseness or sloppiness in the ball joints.

[13 lb] I have been using this for my EIZO ColorEdge CS2740 for over a year, and I just realized that I am exceeding it's stated capacity by 3/4 lbs! it's worked great.

[13 lb] I plan on leaving this permanently attached to the back of my 22 inch monitor. When I go on the road, I’ll put a piece of cardboard to protect the screen and then within seconds I can put this on a light stand so that my customers can see instant previews. If you don’t want to permanently attach there are companies that make thumb screws that quickly allow you to detach a monitor without using any tools.

It’s quite sturdy and I also plan on using it for different things. If you jack up a light stand, people could see the pictures being taken from afar that could be used at an event to generate interest. Can also be used to hold your monitor vertically or horizontally to display sheet music, etc. you need to quickly be able to move the monitor and don’t want to take up table space or don’t have a table available.
