The green Kopul 3000 Series XLR Microphone Cable 1.5' Greenis designed to be an extremely quiet and flexible cable that is ideal for the most demanding live sound and performance applications. The cable is engineered to be durable and provide protection against EMI, RFI, and static noise. While the cable's color-coding affords the ability to quickly differentiate between multiple connections onstage, it provides a pleasant aesthetic quality at the same time.

Premium Performance 3000 Series cables are made from 24-AWG OFC copper wire that's wrapped with PE insulation and a conductive PVC inner shield. A cotton-yarn inner layer helps reduce electrostatic and microphonic noise. The 95% dual-spiral shielding makes the cable resistant to EMI and RFI noise. The Neutrik XX silver connectors provide a high level of connectivity, and all the solder connections are shrink-wrapped for protection.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will this work from my macbook pro to my Bose QC35 and a regular set of apple headphones?

A: It will totally work, build quality and rean connectors a division of Neutrik are excellent. Great cable built to last.

Q: 2. Can I use this:Kopul LMT100 - Low to High Impedance Matching Transformer (1.5') to hook a microphone up to use with my iPhone6?

A: Although both the Kopul cable and iPhone both have 3.5mm jacks, these are not compatible. To connect a mic to an iPhone to a mic that has an XLR jack, you will need the LMT-100 and an additional adapter to connect to an iPhone such as the Mymyk connector cable. In addition the mic you connect must be dynamic, or battery powered. The phone will not provide any power to the mic.

Q: 3. can I use this with the URX-P03 model?

A: This cable will connect to the Sony URX-P03 receiver, or any Sony receiver with a 3.5mm locking connector.

Q: 4. I have a shotgun mic without phantom power so how can I use these cables?

A: A shotgun microphone that powers itself/does not require phantom power is a great candidate for connection of the microphone to a 3.5mm input such as those found on DSLR cameras using the Kopul LMT100 Low to High Impedance Matching Transformer.

Q: 5. I'm using a shotgun mic with XLR output to record audio on my Canon T4i (mini jack input). I'm using a boom pole to record dialogue, so would it be a better idea to use a cable like this (but longer) to connect the mic with the camera, or to use a cable to connect it to a separate audio recorder like a Zoom H4n?

A: If you have a Zoom, the mic preamps are superiorto the Canon. I would only use the Canon as the principle sound if you needed the smallest rig possible. (Run and gun) otherwise an out board recorder will give you a better quality and real time metering and monitoring. (This is critical) I use a similar setup. You can also use a padded cord to go from line out on the zoom to the Canon. You then have good sound on your camera card as well. This gives you redundancy which can come in handy...

Q: 6. Are Sony transmitters able to supply phantom power to a mic with this connector? Or it's only for powered inputs?

A: No. Sony transmitters that are compatible with this cable are only capable of mic input and line input. They do not provide phantom power for XLR connection microphones that require phantom power.

Q: 7. I have a Sony ECM-AW4 Bluetooth wireless mic system that I use with a Canon Vixia and a Canon SL1. It works well with both but the SL1 does not have a headphone jack. Could I use this Y cable plugged into the Sony receiver and then one side plugged into the SL1 and one side to an earbud?

A: Get a different brand. Mine had audio from one side only.

Q: 8. if i connect my 100 ohm mic to my dslr 3.5 jack using this transformer, will the recorded sound still have around 100 ohm impedance?

A: This is an impedance matching transformer. It will convert your 100 ohm mic to approx. 2000-3000 ohms to match your cameras mic input. Recorded audio is not measured in impedance, but decibels.

Q: 9. What is the length of the cable?

A: The length of the Sony EC-0.46BX 3-pole Locking Mini-Plug to XLR Cable is 0.46 meters or 1.5 feet.

Q: 10. If a device supports sending phantom power out of its 3.5mm mic input, will this adapter/transformer pass the phantom power up the XLR cable to the mic?

A: We could not guarantee that 48v phantom power would pass properly through this type of adapter if being used with a balanced 3.5mm jack with phantom power output.

[Neutrik] I was having a problem with inferior mic cords not seating properly in the microphones. After shopping around I purchased several of these Kopul cords and the problem was solved. Most 20' cords of similar quality are much more expensive. This was a great way to go all around.

[Green] I bought these cables to connect an external audio player to my wireless mixer, a situation where I needed a lot of connections but in a small space. These are a GREAT value when you compare to other high end connectors, and they do the job perfectly.
