The Kenko KFM-2200 Cine Flash Meter SEO Titleis a digital handheld exposure meter capable of both incident and reflected light measurement, including flash and strobes. The KFM-2200 utilizes a spherical diffuser with a 270° rotation angle for most readings, including the ability to take a 1° spot measurement using the viewfinder. It can then use one of three measurement modes depending on your specific needs.

For working with both cinema and still photography use, there are a variety of additional settings, especially a large selection of shutter speeds from 30 minutes to 1/16000 second. It even features a flash sync terminal for metering your strobes for still photography. Also, it can display an aperture range from f/1.0 to f/128 and 9/10.

The digital LCD display is backlit to increase readability and shows a variety of parameters, each of which can be set to determine proper exposure values for your camera settings. The KFM-220 also features a viewfinder with diopter adjustment for taking spot measurements of reflected light. It includes a soft case and strap for storage and travel.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. does this have spot metering ability and if so is it 1 degree?

A: The KFM-1100 can accept a 5 degree spotfinder, B&H # KEKFM100 , http://bhpho.to/18Gjvp0.

Q: 2. What size PC Sync connector will work with the Kenko KFM-2200? The standard PC connectors are too large.

A: This meter takes a standard pc connection. If the one you have is too large, then you can compress the end a bit with pliers to make it fit.

Q: 3. Does this meter come with a case?

A: Yes, the Gossen DigiPro F2 flash/ambient light meter V2 comes with a protective softcase.

Q: 4. Can I fire my flash from (with) this meter

A: If you attach a sync cord or a wireless transmitter to the sync port of the KFM-1100 Auto Digi Meter, it could fire a flash.

Q: 5. how reliable is this colormeter with led lights and hmi?

A: Although this meter is suitable for reading the color of an HMI lamp, it is not optimized for LED lighting. A better option for both would be the Sekonic C-800 SpectroMaster Color Meter, BH# SEC800SM https://bhpho.to/3pz6CJ0

Q: 6. Does this light meter work in low or dim light or is the Sekonic L478DR a better option for low/dim light? Thanks!

A: I never had a Sekonic meter, the DigiPro F2 was my first light meter, and I used to meter at most time about flash metering, and the DigiPro F2 for me is very usefull.

Q: 7. I have an old Luna Pro SBC that I have to use at ASA200 to get it to read accurately now instead of the ASA400 I normally would use. I've looked at this meter and concerned about the accuracy in reflective mode since I need a good one with my older Nikon F. Will this meter fit the bill?

A: Lunapro SBC was/is a great meter; how much will it cost to get it repaired?

Q: 8. Does this light/flash meter have full, one half, and one third stop shutter settings? Example...shutter speed 125,160,200,and 250 of a second. Thank You

A: The meter does measure in 1/1, 1/2 or 1/3 EV.

Q: 9. Can the kfm-2200 meter directly to a Canon d7 or a markii?

A: No. It has no WiFi or NFC functions.

Q: 10. Can it trigger a Pocket Wizard?

A: Yes, using a Pocket Wizard transmitter, it will trigger a Pocket Wizard receiver.

[1° Spot] Great product! Love the accuracy. I'd buy another one, but wish they changed two things:a. I did some research on this, but not enough, and I hate reading manuals. If I can't figure it out with a couple buttons, I won't buy it. Apparently I can't figure out how to set it to a 50th of a second shutter speed. Or maybe that setting doesn't exist? 60th is the closest you can get.b. the rubber grommet that covers the brass connection on the bottom never stays in. You put it in the case, it pops out. You pull it out of the case, and the grommet pops out. It doesn't need to be there, but it's good for dust prevention, etc.

[1° Spot] Very easy to use, the manual is well explained. It seems to be very solid and durable. Ive recently tested it and the readings were quite precise. What I like the most is that this lightmeter gives you the ambient light/flash contribution in the scene in terms of percentage, so for instance, you can increase the shutter speed for more flash light contribution or decrease it for more ambient light. I highly recommend this lightmeter.

[1.03 lb] Kenko KFM-2200 Flash Meter Is faster doing it all with just One hand. Both incident and reflected Spot Meter measurement. No need to put down camera, and accuracy best thing ever. KFM-2200 Include ISO variable mode. Years back I got a Sekonic L-328 then Minolta autometer IIIF for Flash work. Needed newer meter after using Sekonic L-758 at a wedding. The L-758 is very accuracy meter but no TF Priority Mode, like the Sekonic L-487D TF Priority Mode. You need two hands to use L-758 spot meter.

[1° Spot] This unit was originally made by Minolta and has been a stable of photographers for years. The meter is very easy to use, provides very consistent readings (compared 4 units at the same lighting). In a photo class, 7/8 people had this meter with one being the original Minolta and no one has had issues. Other unit had readings that varied. Great unit that will last a long time and meet your needs.
