[Black] I can't say anything about the sound quality compared to other cables but the gauge is large enough for any audio setup. They are built like a tank and can withstand a housecat and a toddler.

[16 AWG] Used these 6 footers for center channel and one of the mains. Used a 12 foot for the other main. These cables are great! They are good and thick. Great for big watts like I have. Good for any system. You can tell by just holding them they are quality. Canare wire has a great reputation and they deserve it.
