The Privacy Filter for 23.8" Widescreen LCD Monitors from 3M is a frameless filter designed to fit 23.8" 16:9 widescreen LCD computer displays. A: Contact BlackMagic Design. It is probably more expensive to repair than just replace. But only BMD can provide a real answer.

Q: 3. Can I use this display as a monitor for my Mac mini?

A: This would not make a good monitor for a computer desktop. You would need HDMI to SDI converters and the resolution would need to match. And quite small for a desktop.

Q: 4. Is this recommended for use as field monitors for on-location shoots? Any options to power it on batteries? I need a monitoring solution for a 2 camera set-up shoot.

A: If you're so into high resolution and brightness it schould do the work. For the powering you should find a power converter that does the job in combination with AB or IDX batteries

A: No it would not, this would just work with the ColorEdge CG2730 & CS2730 Widescreen Monitors

A: Yes, this hood is compatible with ColorEdge CG279X, CG2730, CS2740, CS2731, and CS2730 monitors from EIZO.

A: No, it is only compatible with Eizo ColorEdge CG2730 & CS2730.

Q: 9. my sureview duo monitor has a scratch in it can it be repaired?

A: You can get it repaired by blackmagic tho they charge a high fee.

Q: 10. Is this product UL marked?

A: UL would apply to the separate power supply and not the display being low voltage.

[Plastic] Just recently put the filter on and it looks awesome! The number of times my folks tried to see what I was doing on my laptop resulted in failure ( unless they were directly behind me of course). Thus, this filter provides all the privacy I need. 5

[23.8" (16:9)] I've purchased one of these for every laptop that I own. If you travel by plane, bus, or train, this is a necessary addition to your laptop bag. It keep peering eyes from your neighbors out of what you're doing. The only downside is the way that it connects to the monitor using a series of tabs. I find them to be relatively ugly to add but it's a trade off. You can use a simple piece of velcro at the top instead, if desired. 5

[Plastic] I ordered this filter for my monitor to make it easier for my eyes having to stare at the screen all day at work. As a bonus for me is the fact that it IS a privacy filter, so people can't just look over and see what I'm working on. Especially useful when I'm working with our credit card information or other sensitive items. If there is anything wrong with it, it's just that because it is for so large a screen, even when I'm looking at it straight on, the corners get a little blurred from the privacy filter aspect. 5

[23.8" (16:9)] This screen protector's matte finish is perfect for blocking reflections from sunlight or indoor light. It's not a privacy screen, but I needed it mostly for the anti-glare tech. I use it in the car and it works great! Easy to apply and keep clean! 5

[23.8" (16:9)] This is the perfect size for my Lenovo X240, and is very simple to install - select the glossy side or the matte side, attach the sticky strips, and stick it. I can now work during my flights! 5
