A: This unit is meant for flash with the modeling light off. There is no place for heat to escape from.

[Metal] I shoot HDSLR video, and recently picked up a couple of Norman Allure C1000s, plus a set of these barn doors for each. I was very impressed with the construction, ease of use (quick to put on and take off of the fixture, and easy to rotate the doors). These frames also accommodate the soft box kit for these lights, and though I'm not using that accessory, it's nice to know that I can. 5
