Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Is this a one hand adjustable stand?

A: The On-Stage MS7325 does not feature a one hand clutch. This unit has a standard twist clutch.

Q: 2. The description says it fits 4x 4 filters as well is this correct?

A: Hi, yes it does

Q: 3. Is there any means to level this tripod to use it on unlevel surfaces?

A: To stabilize the ProAm USA Stand Support for DVC210, DVC200, DVC60, and DVC50 Camera Cranes on un-even surfaces, you can use a levelling head. It will be important that your choice can handle the payload.

Q: 4. What is this stand's max weight capacity with the boom arm?

A: The manufacturer has not specified a maximum weight capacity, but when I asked they did confirm that the stand is intended for use with lighter weight microphones and recommend keeping the load below 2 lbs.

Q: 5. Can I mount a Manfrotto 502HD Pro Video Head with Flat Base (3/8 -16 Connection) on this crane stand? Would I need an adaptor?

A: The mounting screw is 3/8 -16 so it would attach to any head that has that matching hole. However the length of the screw must be considered. It is long enough? Is it too long? It appears to be about 1 so it should be just right.

Q: 6. Can I put wheels on it?

A: If you have the ability to build a base with wheels that it could sit in, possibly. If you have access to specialized casters/wheels maybe so. I think it would be a custom build if you did.

Q: 7. Would this flop over if you put a Shure 55SH Series II on it?

A: It will depend on the position of the arm and microphone, and how they are angled. The On-Stage DS8100 Desktop Rocker-Lug Mic Stand has weighs 3 lb. and has a 6" round base. The arm will tilt up to 40 degrees. The Shure 55SH weighs about 1.37 lb. and the stand can support the weight of the mic. I would recommend using a sandbag if you want to add additional weight onto the base for security to keep the stand from moving or prevent it from accidentally tipping if it is bumped.

Q: 8. Where can I get just the rotating adapter featured on this stand?

A: if you're talking about the adaptor that holds the mic, Atlas sells parts for most of their stands. B&H will probably have that in stock. you should go on the Atlas website and get the part #. i would think its fairly common.

Q: 9. What are the sizes of the backdrops?

A: I would say 8 by 5 feet. Not very big and also not sturdy.

Q: 10. I have the orion dvc210 and am curious if I get this tripod will the jib pan or do I need to buy the 360 pan adapter?

A: The Crane Stand will pan the Orion DVC210 360 degrees. Instructions are included regarding the installation. If you want to mount the DVC210 directly to your own tripod, use the 360 pan adapter.
