[Flip Lock] I bought a new Canon D80 for Christmas and needed a good tripod for the camera. I shoot indoor stills but still wanted the versatility to take my camera and tripod out. I researched LOTS of tripods, reading reviews, looking at other resources for reviews and finally narrowed the search to this tripod and one other. The biggest complaint about this tripod seemed to be the height isn't as tall as some would like. Well, I am under 5' so the height is great for me. I haven't had it all the way extended yet and it is a great height. The ball head is very smooth and easy to adjust. I have a level on my camera to fine-tune the level. The tripod is sturdy but not too heavy. I like the base plate the camera sits on. There is a safety lock so the camera does not slide off the tripod. I have used this tripod with my 55-250mm lens shooting the full moon on New Year's Eve and there was no shake or movement from the tripod. This is a great tripod for the under $200 price point, which is what I was looking for.

[5" / 13 cm] I bought this tripod for my Canon 5D Mark IV with battery grip. It supports the camera either my L series Canon 100-400 or Canon 28-300 lens with no problem.

The adjustments all work well. I feeling like the locking mechanisms work solidly. It is a little heavier than I would like but the carbon version is only about 1 LB lighter and costs more than double the price.

Comes with a nice travel case that holds all of the info and tools.

So, for a little over $150 it is a great investment.

[Ball Head] I looked for a practical outdoor-tripod and considered the Sirui ET-2004 to be the best choice. Lightweight (it's lighter than my similar sized Velbon carbon tripod with heavy-duty RRS ball head), high load capacity, made of aluminium (stiffness), 3 to 4 section legs with spikes, RRS/ArcaSwiss-plate compatible and simply well- manufactured ball head were the specifications it should have. (a friction knob was not required in my case) I am amazed about its high quality since it is a product of china. This tripod can keep the 5DMkIII and all my lenses in position - up to 70-300mm (DO) tele zoom without any problems. Only the 300mm f2.8L IS II + LongLensSupport causes some problems in steep shooting angles. So, for heavy lenses (2kg) I'd recommend a bigger ball head with a load capacity of about 20kg or similar for fixation at steep angles. If you don't need to fix the lens at steep shooting angles (e.g. for wildlife photography), this tripod + this ball head still works perfectly. Overall, I'm very happy with the Sirui ET-2004.

[Yes] Was looking for a affordable but solid tripod. Ended up with this one and I am very happy with my choice. Despite its light weight, It is very well manufactured. Great quality. Use it professionally for 360 panorama photography. It is quick to set up and very easy to adjust, which is important to me since I have to shoot several locations and have to re adjust every single time. Over all if I would take a point away it would be for the height. Another 4-6 inches would be perfect, but I am not complaining. Great product, great price - 100% recommended.

[Flip Lock] I recently bought and returned a 5 lb Manfrotto tripod with a heavy head with two grips (levers) to adjust. Turns out my camera's LCD screen would not work properly with this head. B&H, being the fantastic company they are, allowed me to return the almost-new tripod and head and suggested I purchase the Sirui one. WOW..so much lighter, the ball head is so much easier to use and does all the things the Manfrotto did! I bought both of these tripods sight unseen and just wish the sales rep had told me about the Sirui tripod in the beginning. You won't go wrong with this one! AND, its own carry case is included.

[Yes] Returning this for the carbon fiber version of this tripod. This aluminum one is very sturdy and the ball head that came with it is nice. It does a good job holding my 6D. I just want a lighter version.

[6.65 lb] For my use with a Canon 7dMII and/or Sony A7r3, it works really well. The largest lens I've used on it has been the 100-400 + tele extender. No problem. What I like most, are 1) light weight, 2) clips to open legs (very fast), 3) Ball head, nothing fancy but solid, 4)extension tube for more height, or for macro (replacing the longer tube), 5) 2 sets of hex keys included, 6) Shoulder start included - and I actually love to use it when walking over any extended distance, both hands are then free. 7) Great price. 8) My wife has one to, and has no problem using it.

I'm a retired pro with 6 or 7 tripods at any point in time, but for what I'm doing most of the time now, this is perfect.
