The RODE SC6 Dual TRRS Input Headphone Output Smartphonesis an input/output breakout box for smartphones and tablets. It has two TRRS inputs and one stereo headphone output. It connects to any TRRS device, such as your smartphone, and allows you to use one or two smartLav microphones while providing a headphone jack for monitoring and playback. Use it to monitor audio from the smartLav and input two smartLavs into the mono channel in interview or dual-dialog applications.

A: It records both mics into one mono audio channel, but on playback you can hear it in both 'ears' - both left and right channels equally. It's really being recorded as Dual Mono , if that helps.

A: According to RDE themselves: It can work on a DSLR, but you would need our SC4 adapter as well. The SC4 is sold here on B&H and it's pretty cheap too.

A: Yes it does. I'm using it on the iPhone 7, with the Lightning-3.5mm Jack, recording into the Rode Rec LE app (the free app). Works fine.

A: 4 mics to your phone sounds difiicult, You might use 2 phones and plug thats what I can sugest.

A: Yes, If you use this to connect headphones and a mic to your iPhone dongle it will work.

A: It does with the Rhode adapter. Also, this mic requires power. It did not work immediately with my digital recorder, which is a Roland R-05, as I expected. Upon further examination I realized there was a setting to send power to the mic and it worked like a charm.
