The Eve Audio SC3010 - 10" Active Main Monitorfrom Eve Audio SC3010 - 10" Active Main Monitoris a three-way active main monitor designed for recording and mastering studios, film and television post-production facilities, cinema applications and in-wall installations. Equipped with three amplifiers--which combine for a short-term total output of 1000W to power its 10" woofer, 5" mid-range driver and AMT RS6 tweeter--the SC3010 is designed to offer maximum headroom with minimal distortion.

To increase efficiency, the SC3010's custom-made 10" SilverCone woofer provides bass frequency response down to 30 Hz, while the 5" mid-range driver extends up through 1800 Hz. The SC3010 also makes use of the proprietary AMT RS6 HF driver, which uses a large front plate and internal magnet to drive the tweeter with greater efficiency.

For flexible positioning, the silver module located in the middle of the speaker that houses the mid-range woofer and the tweeter can be rotated 90-degrees, allowing the speakers to be positioned either horizontally or vertically. This helps to preserve control room sight lines and may further optimize acoustic performance.

The SC3010 also features both balanced XLR inputs and unbalanced RCA inputs for flexible connectivity, and a selector knob on the front that gives access to volume control and filter settings to help you tailor your monitors to the way you work.

On the back of our TV there are many outlets to connect to other things, I am guessing that one of them would connect the speakers directly to the TV. I'm not TV savvy enough to know which one. [29 Hz to 21 kHz] I have the T7V monitors also from Adam Audio. I was supremely satisfied with them. I didn't know what I was missing! With the addition of this sub, the entire should profile is more rich, balanced, and tighter. The sub can be disabled with a foot switch which is so useful for testing mixes and also gives you a sense of just how much difference this sub makes. I would suggest you go through the manual and the online videos of sub setup; especially level adjustment and placement and phase as it makes a big difference. Highly highly recommended. 5

[29 Hz to 21 kHz] These monitor speakers, although pricy, are very well suited to mixing and editing in protools for a studio either at home or in a formal studio setting. They are transparent with a very flat sound that does not emphasize any particular aspect of the frequency spectrum. Flat sound as used here is a good thing. The bass is surprisingly strong in my editing room which only about 8' x 10'. I did add a subwoofer for frequencies below 50Hz. The highs are exceptionally clear and the midrange very smooth. These speakers are very easy on the ears even after several hours editing. I highly recommend them. I use them mainly to edit recording of live theatrical musical performances. 5

[Limiter] Exceeded my expectation as a powered speaker... bought it to use as a monitor speaker and it sounds fantastic, even at higher volume, and could easily fill a room. 5

[29 Hz to 21 kHz] It sounds fantastic. So that's great. However, when shipped from the factory, 4 of the DIP switches in the back were switched to 'off,' preventing basically everything from working. This was frustrating, as, when nothing works, you tend to think the thing is actually broken. Since resolving that issue, however, the subwoofer has been nothing but pure pleasure. It works perfectly with Eve's SC205 speakers. 5

[29 Hz to 21 kHz] Side by side comparison to ADAM speakers revealed these are the best speakers on the market. They have very clear and big bass. And they have very clear mids and highs. If clarity and low end boom and bass clarity is your thing, then these speakers are the best you will find in the music store. They are better than ADAM Audio speakers in a side by side comparison the rep took me thru, it was close with ADAM being second, but after listening to the EVE SC208s, the ADAMS started to sound just a little more muffled than when I first heard them before hearing the EVE SC208s, and EVE SC208 gave off a big clear, defined, tight bass that was better than ADAM's. Surprisingly the budget Mackie MR8 MK3 kinda came in close third place in all the test. Mackie has bass too and pretty clear mids in the MK3 series only, but EVE's are the best of all on the shelf music store monitors. They are the most expensive tho, so you know why, but you get what you pay for. If you want the monitor with the biggest baddest clearest bass and mids and highs that are not fatiguing at long periods of time, then you will have to pay the cost to be the boss with these. 5
