This 500' SMPTE Hybrid OpticalCON DUO to PUW LEMO Fiber Cable 500'from SMPTE Hybrid OpticalCON DUO to PUW LEMO Fiber Cable 500'is a SMPTE 311M compliant broadcast interconnect cable suitable for outdoor and indoor use. It features a Neutrik OpticalCON DUO NO2SX connector and PUW LEMO connector. The OpticalCON connector is COCA factory terminated and interferometrically tested to GR-326-CORE endface standards. It has common LC contacts and a mechanical shutter system that shields against endface contamination. The cable is tested for < -55dB typical return and comes with diagnostics documentation.

The opticalCON connectors are assembled using the Neutrik opticalCON ADVANCED system, which adds lockable, waterproof metal caps and rubber guards, especially critical for outdoor applications. This improves the cable protection and water resistance in long-term use.

Q: 1. If I buy Air Remote for Canon, could I use it also, for say, a Hasselbad or another camera system?

A: No, canon stuff is always a little wonky as Canon likes to lock there stuff from using non canon products. The Nikon TTL remote does work on other though.

Q: 2. I have been using 4 Canon speedlites with the canon wireless system for mobile work but recently found the need to use two more substantial strobes. Can these be triggered (with and without high speed sync) while the camera has the canon wireless transmitter on the hot shoe to control the speedlites?

A: Yes. Just set the D2 to slave mode and it will fire when it sees the flash. This is a line of sight trigger method and isn't always successful. make sure you test it out.

Q: 3. What sync cable will work with my Nikon D700 on the D2?

A: you just need a PC port on one side of the cable and a mini phone on the other.

Q: 4. I do macro time lapses and macro photostacking, so I need a moonlight that gives the same exact exposure every time. Will the Profoto D2 give me the same exposure or will it give varying exposures? Thanks!

A: The D2 has high amounts of consistency.

Q: 5. Does the D2 need to be fired by Air Remote TTL to get 10 frames per sec or will it work with Pocket Wizards etc.?

A: Does work with the Pocket Wizard.

A: Yes it will fit.

A: Besides the Profoto Air Remote TTL-S for Sony B&H # PRARTTLS, which will give you TTL control from your A7R II, there is also the Profoto Air Remote Transceiver B&H # PRAR, which allows for manual control of the power output and allows you to trigger the D2 heads wirelessly. Q: 10. I’m currently using a D1/500 with the Air Remote TTL-N. Will the D2 fire wireless in tandem with this set up?

A: You have to also connect the D2 Fixture in the same Group, or it's own channel.

[9 µm] As with many things Tilta makes, a decent quality and a competitive price. These cables are far more from other brands, so I use this to power smallHD monitors which works well. I wish the cable wasn't as long on the connection point - they protrude quite a lot, but they have worked well so far. 5

[LC] I've been using dynalites for years. While I've had some minor gripes about these heads, they've been workhorses for DECADES. I've never had one in for a services repair but only had them in for refurbishing the contact points on the cable ends. That being said, with Dynalite now defunct, I needed to start moving my lighting over. I love the profotos for their speed, and how easily they can be set up with modifiers. The heads are built strong. The mounting is easy. They fire fast and with the usage of a profoto air makes it seamless to adjust the power balance between strobes. I hope they are as reliable as my dynalites have been for over 30 years. 5

[9 µm] The Complex Lemo Camera Cable with the jackreel is great! We have a system inside but since the pandemic we needed this product to run our camera and function outside. We are still able to function with our switcher in a control room because of this cabling. Great product for indoor or outdoor use. It has been a life saver not worrying about needing more cable... The jackreel is great for storage without tngles and messy wires. 5

[9 µm] I currently own assortment of B1's and B2 which is perfect for location shooting. Profoto D2 are a perfect addition to as I begin to move into the studio. Great recycle time and color stability are the features you need for good shoot. 5

[LC] I finally upgraded my D1 500WS set to the D2 Duo 500/500 AirTTL 2-Light Kit and immediately, I noticed how even the light was throughout the 100 Portrait shots that I took at my latest photo shoot-so my keeper rate improved using the AirTTL option and also saving a lot of time w/o having to use my light meter or set up my Pocket Wizards. So to answer my own question of why did I wait so long, I really don't have an answer because had I not waited, I could have saved a lot of time that I can't get back. Great job Profoto of producing the D2 Duo 500/500 AirTTL 2-Light Kit, and I'm glad made the switch. Marty C. 5
