The Heliopan 46mm Close-Up Lens +3is a convex diopter designed to decrease the minimum focus distance of any lens in order to produce a shorter working distance for close-up photography. Available in varying strengths, close-up lenses also feature 46mm front filter threads for combining two or more filters to fine-tune results.

The front and rear surfaces of the filter both feature a single anti-reflection coating. Each coating helps to increase light transmission by reducing reflections, scattered light, and ghosting. Additionally, they offer protection to the filter substrate while helping to keep the glass clean for longer than uncoated glass.

This Heliopan filter is constructed from Schott glass for increased optical clarity and color fidelity. It features a brass filter ring for durability as well as jamming prevention.

A: The Leica Elpro 52mm Close-Up Lens will fit the Leica Q using the included step up ring. It will allow you to focus closer but since it has not been tested on the Leica Q, the exact focus distance cannot be determined.

A: Bay is short for bayonet. Heliopan makes these bay filters specifically for Hasselblad and Rollei lenses.

A: No, the Tamron SP 60mm f/2 Di II 1:1 Macro Lens uses a 55mm filter. You can use the Heliopan 55mm Close-Up +3 Lens.

A: The Tiffen 138mm Close-up +1/2 Lens is designed to be used on lenses that have a 138mm filter thread size. If your lens has a 67mm filter thread size, the Tiffen 138mm Close-up +1/2 Lens will not fit onto your lens. The only option from Tiffen that would work on 67mm filters would be the Tiffen 67mm Close-up Lens Set, B&H # TICUS67.

[Single Coated] Most Leica people don't even know this product exists. It's so much fun. I use it with various Leica lenses (35mm and 50mm). It works great and it's very easy to focus using live view. 5

[46 mm] I do some charity work for the Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep foundation. This requires some very close work of babies' hands and feet. Buying a dedicated macro lens was one option, but this fills the bill much better. I use it on a Nikkor 17-55 or 24-70. Saves changing lenses during a session and is plenty sharp considering the use for which it is intended. For this work it is a true bargain. 5

[0.15 lb] This high quality lens is multicoated, so the risk of flare is minimized. Also, the brass mount prevents seizing on lens mounts. As a Polaroid pack film buff, I use a 45-46mm step up ring in order to allow me to use common 46mm filters on my Polaroid 180. I think the 195 has the same 45mm filter size. Use the appropriate viewfinder goggles from a Polaroid 581A Portrait kit (for the 250, but the Zeiss rangefinder is the same as the 180), and the world is your oyster! This gets you out of the 5 feet minimum focus of the camera into an intimate portrait distance. The high quality of the close-up images, even wide open and at minimum focus, is quite astonishing. 5

[Brass] Ordered this filter set to use with my Mamiya cC33. So I could focus closer to my subject-flowers. I chose Hoya because they are multicoated, reducing the possibility of flare, and transmitting more light. I have used Hoya filters for most of my photographic life,and was confident from my experience that this set would be most beneficial. 5

[0.15 lb] I use this on Nikon's f 2 135mm lens for close up food photography. It maintains edge to edge sharpenss and since is is completely coated color is good too. The treads were a bit tight the first few times I used it. 5

[0.15 lb] I use this with my Polaroid 180, using a finder from the close up set made for the Polaroid 250 (much cheaper than the set made for the 180). I use a 45-46mm filter adapter in order to mount this to the lens. This should also work for the Polaroid 190, 195. In the case of my 180, the the addition of the adapter ring means that this lens is not at the same distance as what the RF finder was calibrated for. I found that with the camera RF set at the 8 feet mark, the focus in the RF is correct with the image focus. That makes it very simple to make closeups. It has the usual high quality of construction from Heliopan. The brass ring means that it can be removed easily from my aluminum filter ring adapter without binding. It's a great item for taking pictures of flowers in the garden. 5
