A: Never thought of this as an airplane carryon, but sounds like a great idea! I just opened up my bag, and even though it's about 13 inches deep on the outside, the inside (with all the great padding) is probably about 9 inches deep, so not sure a laptop could be placed from front to back, but it could from side to side, with room to spare for your assessories. The padding dividers can be adjusted (they stay in place with velcro). It is a great bag for my large camcorder. I don't know what a dsir is? Hope this helps.

A: Hi. I am a Sony shooter with A7R2. In my bag I have the A7R2 with the Canon 70-200 + Adaptor (no hood), Sony GM 85 and a Canon 17-40 F4 2. The only thing is that the A7R2 + 70-200 makes the back of my camera too close to the top, so it is a fairly snug fit - but for me it is OK. With the 1DX it may be tighter.

A: Bag is pretty nice. Little heavy but sturdy. Big disappointment was the shoulder strap breaking on day 1. The clip stretched / straightened out when bag snagged on seat in my car. I did not pull it very hard either, I promise. Otherwise it is a brilliant bag. The water-proof zipper is very tight and I am cynical that won't last either but I'm confident the zipper under the small under-zipper rubber flap is sturdy and will remain serviceable.The inside dimensions on the DR 30, INSIDE the cushioning is about 17 x6 . The DR40 bag (I also have) will get you 22 x7 . Hope this helps.

A: i really want to love this bag, but im not sold on it. i have a canon 700D. the bag is just the wrong shape for me. its kind of bulky and awkward. yes there is room for the camera, a zoom lens, and my purse, but its just so big! i dont think you could put the camera in with much else if you had the battery pack grip on. and the backpack strap doesnt really make it a backpack.
