This 656 ft SMPTE Hybrid OpticalCON DUO to FUW LEMO Fiber Cable Reelfrom SMPTE Hybrid OpticalCON DUO to FUW LEMO Fiber Cable Reelis a SMPTE 311M compliant broadcast interconnect cable with a heavy duty tactical reel. It features a Neutrik OpticalCON DUO NO2SX connector and FUW LEMO connector. The OpticalCON connector is COCA factory terminated and interferometrically tested to GR-326-CORE endface standards. It has common LC contacts and a mechanical shutter system that shields against endface contamination. The cable is tested for < -55dB typical return and comes with diagnostics documentation. The reel includes a side reel flange.

The opticalCON connectors are assembled using the Neutrik opticalCON ADVANCED system, which adds lockable, waterproof metal caps and rubber guards, especially critical for outdoor applications. This improves the cable protection and water resistance in long-term use.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. my reel isn’t fitting 35mm film, it keeps falling off of the reel when i try to use it?? i’ve tried this with ilford and kodak and neither fit?

A: Unfortunately, that does not seem to be typical with the Paterson reels and could be due to a faulty product or user error. I'd recommend practicing with a previously developed or unimportantly roll of 35mm with the lights on just to see if you can get it to work. If not, please give us a call or live-chat and we can figure out this issue together.

Q: 2. is this light tight without the rubberized cover? i.e. just the funnel thing in place.

A: Yes, it's light tight as long as you have the funnel set in correctly and twisted until it snaps in place.

Q: 3. How many ounces does this hold when full?

A: The tank requires 10oz (290ml) per 35mm roll of film. The tank can hold 5 rolls of 35mm film so it would require 50oz (1,450ml). The tank can also hold 3 rolls of 120/220 film that requires 17oz (500ml) per roll, so that is 51oz (1,500ml) for 3 rolls of 120/220 film.

Q: 4. how long does it take to fill up the entire tank with chemistry? i believe 5rolls of 135 would require 1500ml of it. do you need to compensate for time to avoid over develop negatives in the bottom?

A: It's only a matter of 10-15 seconds. I compensate about 5 seconds and have never had issues! I've never directly measured how much chemistry, but use a 2L kit and life is easy. I would guess its more around 1600ml!!

Q: 5. How long is the snake?

A: No cable is provided with this item; it is just the reel. The reel's capacity is dependent on the outer diameter of the cable you use. Cable Capacity:0.41 OD: 750' (228.6 m)0.45 OD: 600' (182.9 m)0.49 OD: 500' (152.4 m)0.58 OD: 350' (106.7 m)0.67 OD: 250' (76.2 m)

Q: 6. Does the multi 8 system come with the center column, or is it sold seperately?

A: Yes Aaron mine had the center column with it.....

Q: 7. Is the lid leaking when the tank is inverted? Thank you!

A: No it does not.I use mine for Semi Stand development. So a minimal amount of inversions. You might want to ask someone who processes the way you would want to use it.Hope this helps.

Q: 8. Will the catlabs 8x10 reel work in this tank?

A: No, the CatLABS CL81: an 8X10 Sheet Film Processing Reel is made specific for the Jobo MultiTank 5. Not the Paterson Super System 4 Multi-Reel 8 Developing Tank. This is the link to the Jobo 2550 Multi Tank 5 (640mL), https://bhpho.to/3plCZu0 .

Q: 9. How many ounces does this hold with 2 reels?

A: The tank holds 33.8oz (1L) with room or a bit more. 35mm x2: 20oz120 x2: 35oz

Q: 10. will this tank also take a second 35mm reel?

A: This tank can only hold one reel. To use two reels, you need the Paterson Universal Tank with Two Reels (Super System 4), B&H # PAUT2R

[9 µm] I wrapped a 250ft Outdoor POE CAT6 Network Cable on this reel and it really works well. Not the most durable reel I have ever used but for a network cable it's just what I needed.

[Single Mode] I use a Dejero Go Box bonded cellular video transmitter for news live shots and having a cable solution that's lightweight and compact like the Dejero is very important. I work from a SUV and I need to keep things as small as possible. The reel is a simple design but very well made, it does a great job of protecting the cable while stored in the vehicle. As it can lay flat anyone looking for a cable reel that easy to pack and travel with this is the solution. It makes efficient use of its size.

[Single Mode] Cable worked as expected. We use it for our field camera on football game days. We can move all over the field without a signal drop.

[LC] As with many things Tilta makes, a decent quality and a competitive price. These cables are far more from other brands, so I use this to power smallHD monitors which works well. I wish the cable wasn't as long on the connection point - they protrude quite a lot, but they have worked well so far.

[LC] SO glad I bought this little reel. I use it to store my audio cables that have a strong bias, and don't seem to want to be wrapped in the usual over-under method, so the reel is the perfect solution, making setup and tear down easy and quick. It also has a larger core radius, so the cables aren't stressed (critical angle or something like that). It has a brake, which I don't use, so I simply removed it. It is plastic - so it's quite light and easy to carry. It seems to be strong enough to last many years. The only downside to this reel is that because it is so very light, it tends to follow me as I pull the cables off, but putting a heavy mic stand on the leg easily fixes that. Honestly, this little baby is great - especially considering that I was originally looking to buy one of the metal reels - but those things cost about ten times the price! This reel isn't made to be stackable, but that is absolutely fine with me. (Man, rereading my review here makes it look like I work for the company, but I assure you that is not the case!) Anyway - really glad I bought this baby! Cheers!

[LC] i purchased this to run in a drop ceiling in a large building. i didn't want anything to hurt the fibre, so i wanted it armored. (I EVEN ACCIDENTALLY RAN THIS CABLE OVER WITH A SCISSOR LIFT!!) this armored cable is a beast! THIS CABLE DID NOT WORK FOR ME AT FIRST! i was sweating bullets trying to figure out what was wrong! i called their customer service and figured out quickly that they are manufactured as CROSSOVER cables. i had to pop the plastic duplex connector off one end and swap the two fiber cables. then all worked beautifully! LOVE THE PRODUCT!
