Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Which DPA Adapter do I need to make this TX9 work with my DPA 4060?

A: The DPA 4060 microphone can be used with the DPA DAD6034 MicroDot to Locking 1/8" Mini Connector (B&H # DPDAD6034) or Deity Microphones DA35 Microdot to Locking 3.5mm Adapter (B&H # DEDA35). The Saramonic UwMic9 transmitter uses the same type of 3.5mm (1/8") locking connector as Sennheiser transmitters.

Q: 2. I'm buying the version with two handheld mics. Can I replace one or both mics with a lavalier mic at a later date?

A: There are not lavalier mics and bodypacks to purchase additionally for this system. The dual lavalier wireless system that is similar to this is the Pyle Pro PDWM2145 VHF Dual-Frequency Wireless System with 2 Lavalier and 2 Headset Microphones, BH #PYPDWM2145.

Q: 3. How to use saramonic uwmic9 for video recording from Android mobile

A: If your Android device has a USB-C connection, you could use this adapter along with the UWMIC9, BH #SAUTCC35.

Q: 4. Does this work with the Sony a7III?

A: Yes, the Sony UWP-D22 Camera-Mount Wireless Cardioid Handheld Microphone System is compatible for use with the Sony a7 III Mirrorless Camera when the Sony SMAD-P5 Digital MI Shoe Adapter for UWP-D Series (BH #SOSMADP5) is also implemented to adapt the system's receiver to the camera's Multi Interface Shoe.

Q: 5. How does this system compare to the Sennheiser G4 system or the Sony UWP-D?

A: The Saramonic UwMic9 2-Person Camera-Mount Wireless Omni Lavalier Microphone System is most similar to the Sony UWP-D system. There is not currently a dual-channel version of the Sennheiser EW 100 G4 available. The UwMic9 transmitters feature a similar output spec of 10/20/30mW to the Sony UTX-B40's 5/30mW and Sennheiser's 30mW output. The UwMic9 features less potential frequency options, topping out at 96 frequencies, where Sony offers up to 2,772 and Sennheiser offers 1,680. All makes do feature the ability to scan for an open channel based on location. Saramonic's RX9 receiver features a single TRS output for both micropone channels, where Sony's URX-P03D offers an individual output for each. Overall, however, the Saramonic UwMic9 2-Person Camera-Mount Wireless Omni Lavalier Microphone System provides significant value at its price point.

Q: 6. Is there a microphone that can be used with one of this systems transmitter to put on a podium?

A: There are a few options for you. 1) You can get the Saramonic UMIC-M2 gooseneck microphone that plugs right into the transmitter. Please the transmitter on the podium and pick up the presenters that way. 2) You can get the Saramonic HU9 handheld transmitter for that system, place it on a mic stand of the podium. 3) You can get the Saramonic TX-XLR9 Plug-On Transmitter and use any XLR mic you want with it. All options are available at B&H. I hope that helps.

Q: 7. Will the TX9 perform good if I connect the receiver RX9 via the SR-UM10-CC1 to a Zoom H8?

A: Yes, I have connected it to a Zoom H4n recorder with no problems.

Q: 8. What type of XLR cable is included? In the picture it shows a Y-split cable, but in the "In the Box" section it doesn't mention a Y-split cable.

A: The Saramonic UwMic9 2-Person Camera-Mount Wireless Omni Lavalier Microphone System includes the Saramonic SR-UM10-CC1 3.5mm TRS to Two XLR Male Output Y-Cable for Wireless Mic Systems (BH #SASRUM10CC1) with purchase.

Q: 9. Does the transmitter allow for line level inputs such as from a mixer or soundboard?

A: Yes.

Q: 10. Can I use Sennheiser ME 4 cardioid lav mics? This kit seems almost perfect for my needs, with the exception that I need cardioid mics.

A: Yes, the Sennheiser ME 4 Cardioid Lavalier Microphone can be used with the Saramonic UwMic9 2-Person Camera-Mount Wireless Omni Lavalier Mic System.

[40 kHz] Great quality sound, easy setup and use. Doesn't get in the way. Easy to move between my tenor and alto without any wires hanging anywhere. Compared the sound to DPA 4099, which I thought lacked a little bit of the body of the tenor sax sound. Returned that and kept the AMT. seems like this is the best. Full wireless and no body pack is great, but you do have the transmitter on your bell which some may not like the look of. It's light though, so you don't fee it or notice.

[50 µS] I use this microphone for live performance of clarinet + live electronics. Finally I am able to be mobile and compact on the stage, not using two separate microphones (with so many holes sound source is practically everywhere in this kind of instrument). I hope this solution will also help to avoid feedback problems. Sound quality is great, but I am not expecting it to be 100% natural, since the lower microphone is pointing almost directly to the bell, getting very rich of low freqs sound. I think it will be best to combine it with wireless solution.

[95 dB] We use this mic inside our grand piano with the cover closed. Set up is so easy - we can leave it inside and just attach the XLR cable to the external box, mounted on the dolly. And the sound is excellent - much better than the mic on a boom with the cover partly open. Because the lid is closed, there is much less unwanted sound from the rest of the band. Overall, an excellent product.
