If you want lush sound, a reliable mic, with a name you've grown to love: Neumann. This is the Hollywood sound (when Hollywood sounds good!)If the price is too high, check out the used market, you might save a grand. Anything else, hey if it's a great deal on a used or demoed mic then sure there are other brands I'd be excited about. DPA is one. Audio Technica & AKG will work. I'm curious about Beyer. Sanken I hear is amazing. However, as I said in the beginning: Rode/budget, Neumann/heck yeah! & Schoeps/I'm in Heaven.

[Pop Filter] I'd probably purchased 3 or 4 pop filters before this one thinking how complicated can it be? but for whatever reason this is the first one that actually seems to work fully at reducing plosives and doesn't fall over and require constant adjustments.

[1.05 lb] I use it mainly for feature films, mounted on a boompole. Very warm and clear sound. My number one choice in controlled environments.

[Pop Filter] I generally use these for classical vocal ensembles and chamber music. They are very responsive and handle the highs of a soaring soprano line very well. I never have to worry about the sound being distorted.

[Pop Filter] Has a semi-loud fan in the front. Does typical intercom stuff and has the rock solid performance you'd expect from RTS including the ability to do 2 channels of clearcom.

[1.05 lb] I shoot commercials and documentaries. Great sound and short enough to mount on camera if needed for hand held shooting in documentary style filming; I can use wide angle lens w/o seeing my mic in shot. The clarity of peoples voices are great. Things not so great... although a definite superior field mic, other sound guys don't know this mic and are looking for another old standard.

[1.05 lb] This is a fantastic shotgun mic! It is incredibly quiet and sensitive, and can pick up sounds brilliantly from a distance. It is also a great all around mic because it has an extended low end (compared to other shotgun mics), which makes it great for capturing all types of foley sounds as well!
