The compact and travel-friendly Mini Jib Camera Crane by Genustechfrom Mini Jib Camera Crane by Genustechlets you capture those classic sweeping camera moves that only a jib arm can, but without the typical size and weight that comes along with it. Ideal for smaller operations or for filmmakers on the go, the Mini Jib supports loads up to 9.4 lb and extends provides up to 6' of reach, all while collapsing down to 33" and weighing only 3.5 lb. Genustech recommends using dumbbell weights as counterweights to balance the jib arm, which are attached using two Lock Collar Clamps. These clamps allow you to move the weights closer or further away to fine-tune your balance.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Does the jib come with everything you need to keep the camera perfectly level as you tilt up and down, or is there some other fitment that is needed to achieve this? Can I clamp a DSLR to the end of it, move it up and down and the camera will stay perfectly horizontal?

A: As long as you set the level first, you will achieve a level move. The jib is portable so you are limited to the move distance.

Q: 2. How many pounds is payload of the Konova S900? Does it works with BM Ursa 4.6K ?

A: The Konova S900 SUNJIB Mini-Jib Crane has a payload of 44 lbs/19.95 kg. It can easily handle the Blackmagic Design URSA Mini Pro which bare weighs 5.1 lbs. Fully built it, would be anywhere from 10 lbs to 25 lbs. Add the weight of the video head and you still should be well under the 44 lbs payload of this crane. Just be sure your tripod is rated to handle 50 lbs or more.

Q: 3. Does it have auto-tilt capability?

A: The Kessler Crane Pocket Jib Traveler has auto-level but not auto tilt. Since Kessler cranes do not offer auto-tilt, they instead utilize electronic pan and tilt heads.

Q: 4. Do you know where this is manufactured?

A: The Country of Origin for this Crane is listed as China.

Q: 5. What is the approximate maximum / minimum angle for the crane arm? In other words, how close to vertical will it go when fully raised or lowered? (I realize this is somewhat dependent on the tripod/mount, but I'm wondering about the crane itself.)

A: I'm not sure on the angle. If set up in a typical fashion, the jib will not hit the legs of a tripod nor will attached standard weights on the rear balance section. On a five foot tall base the unit boasts that it will go from the ground to eleven feet tall. I find that to be pretty close to true. ProAm has a website with slightly more information about the unit that could come in handy. I hope this helps.

Q: 6. does the have a mechanism to lock tilt?

A: Is possible

Q: 7. Can I have a Canon C300 and a small prime on this? (is that too heavy?)

A: I used a C100 on mine with a Manfrotto 502HD and a 16-35mm Canon lens. The jib is a high quality product and was quite smooth, so, yes, it worked well, but if you intend to add much more weight to this jib in the future, I'd recommend going with the Pro version.

Q: 8. I've never used a jib before. Thinking of getting for use with a Canon XA20 and/or EOS 70D. I need clarification on how these work. Can I put on my Manfrotto 503 head? If I set my camera for the view I want at eye level, will it maintain that orientation when I raise the camera to full height? Or would I need to view with my Nexus 7 via wi-fi to be sure I'm getting the same field? When fully extended will I have full control of the camera to get the view I want? Will the jib raise and lower smoothly so I can shoot video while moving? Would you recommend the Genustech Mini for my use? I need something very portable, quick and easy to set up and take down by one person. Any suggestions for an alternative jib? I'd like something in the $500 range. Thank you!

A: Can I put on my Manfrotto 503 head? answer yes If I set my camera for the view I want at eye level, will it maintain that orientation when I raise the camera to full height? answer - it will maintain the level but not the view, you will need to use the tripod head to tilt down while raising the jib and tilt up while lowering it and yes you would need to use your Nexus 7 via wifi just to make sure. Will the jib raise and lower smoothly so I can shoot video while moving? - as long as the jib is properly balanced with counter weights or sand bags then yes it will go up an d down smoothly.and yes i would recomend it for your use

Q: 9. I'm sure this will sound like an odd question, but can you please tell me the length of the weight bar?Just to clarify, I'm look specifically for the length of the weight bar and not the length of the jib arm.In advance, thank you very much for your help with this question!

A: The length of the weight bar is 35 cm according to Konovo.

Q: 10. What length HDMI cable would I need to run from the DSLR to the monitor that is mounted to the Kessler Pocket Jib Traveller?

A: I don't have it mounted and open right now, but the specs here say 6' max extension from fulcrum, so I'm going to say you'd be safe with a 7-8' HDMI cable, right? You can always tie up the extra near the monitor which can attach to the base (near the fulcrum). If I were shopping for one (good idea, by the way) I would look for something flexible and light. Some of those HDMI cables are stiff and heavy. Good luck!

[37.5 x 7 x 6"] I've rented jibs before and even hired a crew for a big event. I've always wanted my own, but they were typically big and clunky. This is great! Lightweight - works on my standard tripods - easy to set up. Of course, it's not going to get those sweeping views of a performance in a big theatre, but for simple motion shots, it's excellent.

[33" (84 cm)] I have used other jibs with back breaking results. If you have a light camera and a decent tripod, this is great. My three year old granddaughter could carry this.

[33" (84 cm)] Fantastic piece of equipment! Well built and great functionality. I use it with my 5D MK IV and it only needs 5 lbs or less of counterbalance. Easy to set up and easier to use. Footage quality is smooth and beautiful. I am guessing its not for a heavy, large camera but for my DSLR it is PERFECT! BUY IT!!!
