The Shure UABIAST Power Supply PS23USby Shure UABIAST Power Supply PS23USis for providing 12V DC bias power to an active antenna or in-line device over BNC coaxial cable. It is used when a wireless receiver's antenna input jack does not provide the necessary power or, when used without an antenna distribution amplifier.

The UABIAST receives power from a wall outlet using a Shure PS21 or PS23 power supply and passes the RF signal and power to an active antenna or in-line device. The UABIAST is capable of supplying power to three in-line amplifiers (Shure UA830), or two in-line amplifiers and one active antenna (Shure UA874). A PS23 power supply is included. (The UA830 and UA874 are sold separately.)

A: No you can't. This is an active device it is always passing current whether you use phantom or not. If you plug a dynamic into it the capsule will burn out in time.

A: When in doubt, trust the photo. There are only XLR jacks on this piece of gear. no 1/4 inputs, or outputs.

A: This battery pack should work with any Celestron that has a 12V input socket. (I can't speak for all of them, but the plug end of its cable fit my CPC perfectly.) The only other Celestron power pack I know of is the Power Tank, a hand carry item that usually sits on the ground under the tripod. This unit is much lighter weight and straps to a tripod leg, so it seems to be a lot more convenient.
