A: Thhe Mackie ProFX10v3 10-Channel Sound Reinforcement Mixer Kit with Carry Bag is a new item. All of the items on our website are new unless marked otherwise.

Q: 4. Can you solo tracks on this? Seems like a basic feature. If not which smaller mixers have it?

A: The Mackie ProFX10v3 10-Channel Sound Reinforcement Mixer with Built-In FX does not have individual "Solo" switches for each track. A: Is that a knob labeled phones directly above the master volume knob that I see? Oh, wouldnt ya know it.... it is.

Q: 6. Is it possible to have the tape input go directly to the headphones/control room and not to the main mix? I would like to record microphones with the music from the computer not showing up in the recording when using the tape input.

A: You can route whatever to the computer through outputs 3/4 separately.

Q: 7. Can each channel be recorded as a separate track through the USB? Is a specific program or driver required?

A: The Mackie ProFX10v3 10-Channel Sound Reinforcement Mixer with Built-In FX only offers 2 inputs and 4 outputs via USB, so that would not provide full multi-track recording. If a full multi-track recording is required, the mixer would need to be paired with an audio interface that provides the needed number of input channels.

Q: 8. Can you rack mount this?

A: Yes! The DL16S includes the rack ears in the box with the product. It takes up 3 rack spaces.

Q: 9. Does this mixer require a Dongle or special key other than serial # to use the accompanying Pro Tools software?

A: There is no dongle required. There will be a software download code included with the mixer.

Q: 10. Is the power supply truly universal? The user manual appears to list different power requirements for different models depending on where it is purchased.

A: The Mackie 402VLZ4 ships with an external power supply, and is packaged regionally. The power supply available with units purchased from B&H are 100-120 VAC compatible only.

[24 lb] This is the 3rd one of these that I've bought over the past 26 years as a full time musician. It fits perfectly in my rack, has more than I need for bussing etc., has a very well thought out design for those of us that are pretty much plugin and play. It's strength is the quality and versatility fitted into a compact mixer. This has always been the niche of this mixer. Before this entered the market, the only mixers that had all of it's features were MUCH bigger in size. With this in mind it is not intended for the sound man sitting at the back of the room needing to make adjustments constantly throughout the night. I say this because the faders are intentionally narrow and it can be easy to accidentally hit a channel assignment button. For most of us who only need to move chanell faders or make minor adjustments every now and then, you couldn't ask for better. 5

[1x IEC] I have both the 6 and the 16, but needed something mid-sized for a standard show. This has nearly all of the functions of the 16 with a smaller footprint in my DJ case. A selling point that puts this above the 10 is that the channel faders are sliders, not knobs. 5

[+48 V] Compact, flexible, clean. Perfect for solo multi-tracking recording (up to 196kHz/24 bits), Zooming, YouTubing, whatever. On-board compressors and effects. Rock solid performance. Can't think of any negatives yet. This is the mixer I recommend to everyone. 5
