A: Hi, I don't have the switcher, but I do have the Blackmagic HDMI-SDI 6g, and an atomos shogun inferno, and a 2012 MacMini. I was able to see output from the Mac Mini at 1080p, but did not see any choices for higher resolution. I'm not sure that you can even pass 4:2:0 2160 signal at 30fps over a 3g input Blackmagic does make an admittedly more expensive HDMI - SDI convert to pass full UHD, BH #BLTRMHDMISDI • MFR #CONVNTRM/AB/HSDI (the Blackmagic Design Teranex Mini HDMI to SDI 12G Converter). I'm not a B&H employee, but they have a very reasonable return policy; you could ask if they wuold let you try the cheaper one, and if it didn't work, exchange it with more $$ for the faster one.

A: No, the Mini Converters don't have a power button. You would either need to disconnect it from the power source to turn it off, or connect the power supply to a power switch to easily turn it on and off.

A: Normally, you send the video out from the camera to the viewfinder, loop though the viewfinder to a transmitter or another monitor. If your monitor hasn't a loop through, you will have to get a signal splitter. If your camera and monitor have incompatible video connections, you can use the following devices to conveniently convert the signals.
