The black RDL DB-RLC10 Remote Level Control Rotary Blackfrom RDL DB-RLC10 Remote Level Control Rotary Blackis a rotary remote level control that provides user adjustment at a single or multiple locations. This control is designed to fit any standard single-gang electrical box. The optical encoder technology allows continuous knob rotation with a comfortable adjustment rate and long-term, trouble-free, and noise-free operation. The control directly connects to any RDL, VCA, and OEM equipment with 0 to 10 VDC ramp inputs.

The DB-RLC10 may be connected to a ramp-controlled VCA using a single-pair shielded audio cable or unshielded cable. A rear-panel switch configures the control as the MASTER. The MASTER mode causes this control to drive the 0 to 10 VDC ramp output and to monitor its pulse terminals in case any other -RLC10 controls are connected.

As many as nine additional -RLC10 controls may be wired in parallel with the MASTER control using UTP cable (CAT5, CAT6, or equivalent). The rear-panel MODE switch on each additional remote control is set to SLAVE mode. Operation is the same for a single control, or for each control connected in a multiple control point installation. The 0 to 10 VDC ramp voltage is incremented up or down when the front-panel knob is rotated. Acceleration is provided so the rate of change is faster when the knob is rotated more rapidly, yielding a responsive feel and rapid elimination of acoustic feedback. The LED ring display encircling the control knob operates as a virtual pointer. When the DB-RLC10 is not being adjusted, its display switches to a dim intensity to avoid being a visual distraction. The display returns to a bright intensity during adjustment. In the event of power loss, internal non-volatile memory stores the last level value. When power is restored, the 0 to 10 V output will return to the operating level present when power was lost.

Multiple -RLC10 controls set to the SLAVE MODE may be connected to an RDL RU-VCA2A or RU-VCA6A, utilizing the VCA as the ramp generator. This connection is also possible with OEM equipment accepting open-collector pulses that are compatible with the DB-RLC10 output pulse rate and width.

A: If your camera is set to One-Shot AF, when you press the shutter button on the Canon RC-6 Remote Control, the camera will first focus on the item on the focusing point chosen inside the camera's viewfinder, then it will release the shutter. It does not have a half-press function similar to the shutter button on the camera, so the camera will first focus, then capture the image as soon as the button is pressed (unless the remote is set to 2-Sec. Delay). If the camera is set to AF-C or AF-A focus modes, it is possible the camera will release the shutter without focusing, which is why One-Shot AF is recommended when using the Canon RC-6 for self-portrait usage needs.

[10 x power] We installed this near the sound desk as a big visible vu meter of the output of audio going to our livestream. It works quite well and doesn't seem to add any noise to the system (or if it does, its negligible enough to not matter once the audio is compressed to the livestream). Plus, its 5x cheaper than anything else like it! 5

[10 x power] I bought this from B&H in June 2014. It's now Dec 2019, and this amp is still performing flawlessly. I use it to combine 3 different audio sources into a single output that I distribute to various powered speakers throughout my house. I like that I can set the amplification for each source to make each source equal volume on the output. That way I don't have to constantly jockey the volumes when I play a new source. I also love that I don't have to switch anything around. I can play all three (or four) source at the same time if I want, or just stop one and start the other without having to touch any input switches or anything. I have my computer, my bluetooth adapter, and my record player pre-amp all on this thing, and I can easily just start playing the new source without touching anything. I love it. I have it mounted vertically behind the little table that holds the livingroom computer so if I do ever need to adjust anything, it's quick and easy. I do sometimes use the knob to adjust the volume of my record player input. 5

[0.45 lb] Have you ever become frustrated when folks power up an amp rack while a source is delivering a full-scale signal to it? The large LEDs in this unit are eye-catching enough to act as a console output pilot light which might catch enough attention to avoid the situation. There are even more useful applications for the unit... so don't write it off as a toy before trying it. In our application, a 52kW amp rack is controlled by an innocent-looking key switch. Imagine that someone turns off the keyswitch and then uses the mains level controls as a handy headphone volume knob while the amps are off. Without the eye-catching LEDs displaying mains level, its easy for the next person to activate the keyswitch, deafening those in the path of the 52kW amplifier output. 5

[0.45 lb] Overall, excellent. I only wish they offered a model with five channels, mini stereo jacks on all inputs, and have one channel with built in audio isolation transformer. Obviously, that would cost more, but then it would go from a great mixer to a perfect one. 5
