The DB-TPR3A Active Triple Pair XLR and RCA Stereo Audio Output over RJ45 Receiver Module from RDL DB-TPR3A Stereo Audio Receiver Module XLR RCA RJ45is a three-pair audio receiving module compatible with RDL Format-A twisted pair products. The DB-TPR3A features a black front-panel laminate. The DB-TPR3A module features an XLR audio output and two RCA phono jack outputs, one for the left channel and one for the right channel. The audio signal received from pair A of the RJ45 input jack feeds the XLR audio output jack. The output level from the XLR jack is set to either Mic or Line level during installation using a rear-panel switch. The audio signals received from pairs B and C of the twisted pair cable are buffered to drive the RCA output jacks at the standard -10 dBV consumer level.

The DB-TPR3A module can access signals from all three cable pairs, and additional receivers may be connected to the same twisted pair feed. The bridging input circuits used in all Format-A twisted pair receivers allow connection of up to 10 receiver outputs for each cable pair. The DB-TPR3A can be powered directly from a 24 VDC power supply using the rear-panel detachable terminal block. Local power connected to the module is also fed to all connected remote modules.

The DB-TPR3A can be remotely powered through the twisted pair cable from any other module, signal distributor or RDL power inserter connected to the same twisted pair cable. Module power is indicated by a front-panel LED. This module is designed to be mounted in wall boxes, cabinets or other enclosures that allow users to connect external equipment. The DB-TPR3A model can be mounted in RDL WB-1U and WB-2U wall boxes, or in standard U.S. electrical boxes.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Is there USB connectivity for input from an Ipod or smartphone?

A: Unfortunately the STR-DH190 does not have USB Connectivity specifically for an iPod or Smartphone. The USB port on the back panel is only meant for Service and Firmware Updates to which it will not have the ability to sync with an iPod or Smartphone. A RCA to Mini cable will be the only option to connect either device to this Receiver.

Q: 2. Can I pair my Bluetooth speaker to this receiver?

A: The Sony STR-DH190 Stereo Receiver BH #SOSTRDH190 will accept/receive a Bluetooth audio stream from a device like computers, MP3 players, smartphones, and tablets. It cannot transmit a Bluetooth audio signal to another device like a Bluetooth speaker.

Q: 3. Do I have to use rca cable with ground to connect Sony ps-lx310bt turntable to this receiver?

A: The Sony STR-DH190 Stereo Receiver (BH # SOSTRDH190) utilizes a screw terminal for grounding the phone. Bare wire is fine. The Sony PS-LX310BT Stereo Turntable with Bluetooth & USB (BH #S OPSLX310BT) does not require separate grounding.

Q: 4. what is the input 1-4 for, what can hookup to them.?

A: Any external audio source, such as CD player etc.

Q: 5. Will the Rca output support a sound bar?

A: Yes it will.

Q: 6. Can you connect a TV and 5.1 surround sound speakers to this

A: This is a stereo receiver, which means it is for two speakers. A TV can be connected, but only through analog stereo RCA connections. I would recommend an A/V receiver, such as the Sony STR-DH590 5.2-Channel A/V Receiver, BH #SOSTRDH590. This receiver will allow you to hook up to your TV with an HDMI cable, and accepts 5 speakers, as well as a powered sub woofer, for a 5.1 surround sound system. .

Q: 7. What's the thickest gauge wire the speaker terminals will accept?

A: 11AWG

Q: 8. Can you use and graphic equalizer with this receiver?

A: Yes. There is an output (Audio 4) allowing an external device, such as a graphic EQ to be connected and returned on 'Audio 4" input.

Q: 9. where is the bass and treble control?

A: Hi Michael, yes, you can use the remote control to adjust the bass and treble of the receiver. ~Ralph

Q: 10. Are you able to use one of the connections for a sub-out?

A: While there are no dedicated sub-outs, it is possible to connect a subwoofer to one of the channels, say B, have two speaker connected to channel A, and operate the receiver in A+B mode. The user manuals of this receiver and SA-CS9 subwoofer can provide further detail.

[< 0.005%] I teach line dancing classes and I needed a small, reliable Mic/Line Mixer to mix my voice with music. This tiny little mixer has a very small footprint. I have mounted this mixer along with the wireless mic receiver and bluetooth receiver and power strip on a little laptop chill pad which fits neatly in my messenger bag. So I can set up quickly anywhere I go. The RCA outputs are easy to hook up with any house PA system, sometimes I need an adapter, but I carry all the necessary adapters for any location. RCA is the universal LINE LEVEL interface. The system is stereo, it's VERY ROBUST AND RELIABLE. I don't worry about a breakdown with this mixer. One nice feature is the power plug: you plug in the power and give it a quarter turn, and it's locked in. I try to pull it out (unintentionally) and realised it was the power plug and not a 1/8 Stereo plug - Duh! BUY WITH CONFIDENCE - this is a tiny workhorse of a mixer that will give you years and years of reliable mixing.

[0.39 lb] Has been excellent to use. My only wish is that they integrated it into their audio mixer and/or offered this unit with several channels. That might help get the cost down. You almost always need at least one of these, and often several. Ground loops are just a reality and this helps.

[Power In, blue] I had an awful hum coming from a newly built PC. Research brought me to B&H for this purchase. I installed it in a few minutes, booted the PC, hum gone. Amazing, actually. This unit is Plug and Play. Worth every penny.

[0.39 lb] Works exactly as promised. In our theatre sound system (anchored by a Yamaha CL-1 digital mixing console) sound from any laptop source (we tried three) would be clear until the laptop was also connected to the Barco projector. Once connected, an audible 60Hz hum would be created. It didn't matter if the projector was connected by VGA or HDMI cable, and running the laptop on battery instead of AC also made no difference. Hum Killer to the rescue. Problem solved.
