The RDL DB-TPS1A RJ45 Sender Module Blackfrom RDL DB-TPS1A RJ45 Sender Module Blackis a single-pair audio sending module compatible with RDL Format-A twisted pair products. The DB-TPS1A features a black front-panel laminate. The DB-TPS1A module features an XLR microphone input. The module provides IEC 24 V phantom and accepts input signals from both dynamic and condenser microphones. The input signal is amplified using a studio-quality microphone pre-amplifier optimized for normal operating levels. The rear-panel gain switch is normally set by the installer for Norm (normal) gain. If consistently low microphone levels are expected, this switch may be set to the High gain position. The pre-amplified microphone source is routed to one output cable pair selected during installation using a rear-panel switch.

This module drives only one cable pair, and therefore accepts signals and power from other mic-level or line-level Format-A senders. The DB-TPS1A module has a second RJ45 jack for these input cables. Two other single-pair senders may be chained with the DB-TPS1A, or a single two-pair sender may be connected. If three single-pair senders are connected together, each sender must feed a different pair: A, B, or C. The DB-TPS1A must be set to feed pair A if it is connected together with an RDL two-pair sender that feeds stereo audio on pairs B and C. The power pair and all three audio pairs are fed through both rear-panel RJ45 jacks.

The DB-TPS1A can be powered directly from a 24 VDC power supply using the rear-panel detachable terminal block. Local power connected to the module is also fed to all connected remote modules. The DB-TPS1A may be remotely powered through the twisted pair cable from any other module, signal distributor, or RDL power inserter connected to the same twisted pair cable. Module power is indicated by a front-panel LED.

[RJ45] I was getting transfer speeds just over 100MB/s with the factory 1G card. With the 10G card, I'm seeing reed and write speeds around 500MB/s. I am working with a fairly long run over Cat 5e, so it might be capable of even more.

[Power In, blue] RDL's XLR jacks offer an attractive alternative to locking panel/wall jacks that eventually fail to lock/unlock. The Decora style makes it easy to match with other connectors in their line.

[RJ45] Got this to go from my Ubiquiti rack mount cable modem to the UDM Pro SFP port to get the full speed of my ISP connection. (Non SE UDM Pro doesn’t have the 2.5gb RJ45 WAN)

You must set the speed of the SFP to (auto negotiate) on latest firmward, change the original WAN1 to LAN, change the SFP to your WAN1… then it still wont pass the IP to your router until you reboot the modem and router. After that it should work.

Works great though, no issues!

[RJ45] Bought this because I wanted something that would just work in the Ubiquiti 8-port POE switch. It works and that's what's important.
