The RDL RU-SM16A 2-Channel Audio Meter for Professional Useis a 1RU 1/3 rack module designed for precise metering of up to 2 channels of audio. The unit can be used for either 2 channels of mono metering or stereo operation and is designed to be integrated into new and existing setups.

Each channel utilizes sixteen LED indicator lights and may be individually calibrated for unbalanced consumer, balanced professional, 8 Ω speaker line, or constant voltage speaker lines (25V, 70V, 100V). The rear panel features terminal blocks for connections and variable or fixed calibration for 25V, 70V, 100V, and +4 dBu sources. When placed in the "variable" position, a set of front panel multi-turn trimmers can be used for calibrating the meter levels.

Each meter on the unit can be set to either peak or average audio level displays. In monaural applications, a mono source can be fed to two meters for both peak and average metering.

A: The Denon DN-500BDMKII Professional Blu-ray Disc and Media Player 1 RU has an "IR Lock" feature that may have incidentally been activated, which disables communication from the remote control to prevent changes to playback. There is an LED light on the front panel next to an "IR LOCK" indication to the right of the device's digital display that would confirm this has been engaged. To disengage IR Lock, press and hold Shift and then press Pause on the DN-500BD MKII’s front panel.

A: The Technical Pro BLUEDECK2 is a receiver unit designed to allow you to connect playback devices to a standard audio system such as a home theater receiver or TV. The outputs on the unit are RCA. This unit will not transmit sound to Bluetooth speakers and does not support surround audio.

[1.2 lb] This meter is the very best most accurate VU meter I have ever used. It is pre calibrated and requires no adjustment!!! Simply put, I have every VU Meter made and none work as well as this one. It is expensive but worth every penny. It is very well build and compact. My only complaint is really a wish, I would like to have 1/4 TRS connections, however the phoenix connections work fine as well. 5

[20 to 20,000 Hz] I used this in a sound system that did not have an overall VU meeter. I have used it before in larger systems. Very visible. Adjustable to match VU meeter to dB level in the building. 5

[2] I purchased this to use as a mute switch for interfacing a Clearcom matrix intercom panel into our audio system (allows the stage manager to talk into the band’s in ear monitors). This box was exactly what I needed, when given a contact closure the microphone passes out of the “selected output” port and right into our audio console. Do be aware that it needs 24 volts of DC power, so make sure you’ve got an appropriate power adapter. 5
