Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. I have a Bolt Cyclone DR PP-400DR Dual Outlet Power Pack for my Lumix/Olympus camera...It looks like the power connection at the battery back would accept "my cable" in to the power unit and the connector for my GoDox 685 "O" would then be fine?

A: The Godox TT685O uses the same high voltage battery connector as Canon, so you can use the DR PP-400DR Dual Outlet Power Pack or this Bolt Universal Compact Battery Pack.

Q: 2. So I recently purchased these gels to cut out and use with the filter tray on the Aputure barndoors. Upon turning my 300d mkii up to 100%, it burned right through the center. Should I just be clipping these onto this light? Or are there other filter alternatives that can go in those trays?

A: It would be best to clip the gels to the barndoor leaves in order to allow for more air space.

Q: 3. In what light can I use it? Reflector? Could you advise me?

A: These gels are small sheets, slightly smaller than a sheet of office paper. They are not intended for large and powerful lights, which require a roll of gel rather than a sheet. These are best used on lights with a suitably small lens/aperture, such as a small LED panel or a fresnel like the Arri 650 or lower. If you are using hot lights, keep them a few inches away or the heat will melt them. They are fantastic for coloring smaller LED lights.

Q: 4. Does this pack work with Quantum and Godox cables for Canon and Nikon flashes? I have the Metz 58 AF 2 and no Bolt cable is offered , but will the Godox 58 cable or the Quantum CM-58 work with this pack?

A: The Bolt Universal Compact Battery Pack would not be compatible for use with Godox or Quantum Instruments power cables. It would only be compatible for use with the dedicated Bolt UN Power Cords listed under the Accessories tab on our website.

Q: 5. Is this fireproof?

A: No, the LEE Filters Quick Location Pack - 24 Sheets (10 x 12") listed above are not fireproof. According to LEE Filters, they state that their standard gels are "heat resistant" to 180° degrees Centigrade (356° Fahrenheit). The filters should be used at a slight distance from halogen, tungsten, and some high-intensity LED lamps, but may eventually melt and will require occasional replacement.

Q: 6. Works with Canon Speedlite 580Ex II also?

A: Yes this battery can work on the 580EX II.

Q: 7. Can i use this in front of broncolor siros lights with broncolor's reflector in front? If yes, then how can i attach it?

A: The easiest way of attaching these Lee Filters to a Broncolor reflector is with the C-47 Production Clips (Matte Black, 24-Pack), BH #C41C47, leaving airspace between the two. https://bhpho.to/3rpGmBj

Q: 8. would this work on aputure 120d ii? would it melt away or will stay fine

A: These gels can be used on an Aputure C120D II. While LED lights produce much less height, it is always a good idea to attach the gels with a bit of air space between them and the light.

Q: 9. How do you monitor battery charge level?

A: Hi, the unit does not have a battery icon like a phone or laptop. A single red LED tells you that the unit has batteries. I bought it for one, 5 day event, 5000 fill flashes, changed the batteries once, like a speedlight, when recharging slowed. The unit worked flawlessly. I didn't try full flash and didn't need fast recycle, so I don't know how it works that way. Canon says 300 flashes at full power, seems a conservative claim. Its intuitive, carry spare batteries... Only unit that didn't seem to have issues from the reviews I read before purchasing. But you are correct, it would be nice to have a battery icon on the unit. happy shooting.

Q: 10. What are the 17 gel colors in this pack?

A: The gels included with this kit are the following, which can also be seen to the right of the product overview:Congo Blue (#181)2 x Half C.T. Blue (# 202)2 x Full C.T. Blue (# 201)JAS Green (# 738)2 x Half C.T. Orange (# 205)2 x Full C.T. [Handle] Like everything these guys make, the tablet/ultrabook bag far exceeds your expectations. It is worth twice the price, particularly if you're on location often and/or, like us, you're just particularly rough on things. The internal dividers are well padded, the waterproof cordura nylon is rugged and won't tear and there are several well-placed zippered pockets, one of which is waterproof with large smooth zippers with pulls. The rear has the molded foam black padding that all the new bags have...and the pass through panel behind it slides right over any standard extended rolling suitcase handle. (and they have their first rolling bag coming out soon, the CB30 High Roller) We have (2) CB01 Production Bags, (2) Revolution Backpacks, all of their smaller AC and tool pouches and now this iPad bag (even though we hate Apple and use Android Tablets) :) This thing will hold (2) tablets btw, or a tablet and an ultrabook if you tether and sometimes carry two devices.

[Zipper] I really like this bag! It's well constructed and padded with lots of room. I got this bag specifically for my favorite lenses. I was able to fit 10 lenses and several additional accessories. I can easily fit a compact cinema camera, accessories, a few lenses, and a laptop if I want to repurpose it. I like all the compartments available and the flexibility to reconfigure the interior. The bag itself is fairly compact and not too heavy. The build feels extremely well made. This is an excellent travel ready bag to protect your camera, lenses, and other accessories. I highly recommend it!

[Empty] I'm using this great little pouch to carry two small on-camera monitors, keeping them safe and out of the way with their batteries, shades, etc. Very convenient and tough case.

[Zipper] Really shouldn't have waited this long to get this bag. It helped me put all of my tools and AC kit together in one package. I still have to see what I can have in it, because I already overgrew it, but so far it is working great for me. I like the side pockets which are really large, but I just have to figure out what to put there. The bag quality is great and it's really rigid. I think it will hold up a long time for me and work great for many years.

[0.685 lb] I am currently using 2 of these bags to tote a BM ATEM mini pro, 3 micro hdmi/sdi converters/ Beringer 3 input audio mixer, various cables, etc. to transport a very portable streaming system.

The dividers ar excellent for keeping things organized and yet light enough to carry easily to venues. A

[Zipper] I have had this bag for a few years without any issues at all. It is a production bag for sure. If you have a cart then moving it around is not an issue. You can also use it as a location bag meaning it may be the bag you leave in your vehicle for those when needed moments but you don't want to haul it around. It is a very solid bag that has lots of rooms and compartments for a lot of things. I have two as miscellaneous bags for photography and video work and they are versatile for those uses.
